Incentive based contract which includes win bonus's

I'm sure there is something somewhere that won't allow this to happen (Cap, collective bargaining, etc), but wouldn't it be nice if players were paid a base rate and then additional incentive dollars based on wins? Heck, they do it during the playoff. Winners get x amount and loser get less then x amount.

Say they are paid a flat rate of x amount per game and then for every game they win they get a bonus of x amount. Do you think it would make a difference and is it even dooable?

Well, if you win a lot of games, you may shoot way over the salary cap. If you lose a lot of games, then you have tons to spend until you start winning again. :muttley:

I don't think it would make a difference unless it was a gigantic amount.

I don't watch too many games and see an effort problem from many teams much less ours.
