I wonder what made Julius decide to hit left in that instead of right. One of the best moves I've seen. I remember watching that game and saying, "What a run, but now the safeties got him." Then he did his thing and I stood up and said "We got a runningback!"

Like Troy said in his HOF speech, Moose was the best Cowboys player at his respective position on those teams of the 90s. He was an absolutely amazing blocker at the point of attack.

Awesome video!

One of the things that Emmitt did better than anyone I've ever seen except Payton is how he uses his hands to fend off defenders.

I'd have to say Earl and maybe Brown were better but certainly the two you mentioned were very good.

Couple of thoughts, first those with I eye for sound football must have seen BOTH of our great # 88s throwing good down field blocks for both TD and Emmitt.
Second, its a great video, no doubt, but for the younger fans who may not remember it, how awesome would a video of Emmitt great game against the Giants when he seperated his shoulder and singlehandlely carried the team to a win?
Most incredible performance I can ever recall.
BTW, the fact that I have to say that some of the younger guys may not have been old enough to remember it makes me feels old as dirt.:lmao2:

Notice how he used his left hand for extra protection of the ball on that play as well. I certainly hope we see that kind of play from him more consistently this season.
