Pretty sure it was rehashing the lines from the first movie.

It was. The entire speech in the trailer was the speech from the first movie. They used it in the trailer for the first movie too. From the looks of it, they're reusing/redoing a lot of things from the first movie.

Looks like a decent Sci-fi flick. I remember seeing the original at the drive-in. Good times.
