Hahaha! Their angry words are sweet music to me!

The Indianapolis Colts announced on Sept. 3 that linebacker Caesar Rayford has been traded to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a conditional draft pick -- a move that has sent Colts fans into an uproar.
Fans might be in an even bigger uproar when they learn that the conditional draft pick is in 2015, not 2014.

At last count, the announcement on the Colts' Facebook page has generated over 300 fan comments, many of which express outrage that Rayford was traded away. Of the 40 comments on the Colts' announcement on their website, the vast majority question this decision.

We don't even know what pick it maybe.

It's conditional....so there's upside for Colts too. It maybe a win/win trade.

He wasn't a fit in their 34 because he completely sucked in coverage. However, he has the length, long arms and speed to have a good pass rush, so a 43 defense was what he is suited for... particularly Monte Kiffin's and Rod Marinelli's 43.

He can really get after the QB and that is what the Colts fans loved about him, but the front office was right in not keeping him.

I would guess he's a SDE since Selvies natural position is WDE. Hope he is stout against the run also.

Read the moronic comments below the article, no wonder we're Americas team you either love us or love to hate us. I love talking sense into ill-informed fans who when I tell them Dallas is my team and the first thing they say is Romo sucks.

I went on their forums, some were definitely upset, but most saw the silver lining in that they turned an UDFA into a draft pick and realized that he doesn't play well in space and fits better in a 4-3. I think this is one of those rare "benefits both sides equally" trades.

Unless the guy turns into a sack machine. 3-4 or 4-3, that will be a hard pill for Indy fans to swallow!

Here is a really good thread on the Colts official forum that is fun to read:

http://forums.colts.com/topic/20174-caesar-rayford-traded/

Here are a few posts:

The biggest bummer is that Rayford was the feel good story of the preseason...

Fans get intrigued when an UDFA, CFL, or arena league player get brought in over the off season and shed the "camp-fodder" label and actually produce during the preseason games...

That is what the preseason is for in my opinion, & Ceasar was "that" guy this year. He looked like he could actually produce and become a playmaker, maybe not a pro-bowler, but he looked like he could be a valuable player...

anyways, I hope Cesar does well in Dallas, (can't believe I just wrote "does well" & "dallas" in the same sentence), and hopefully Cam Johnson can help create some pass rush for the Colts...

Are you KIDDING ME WHY JUST WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT SO STUPID.

Darn, I really liked rayford. Wish him the best though, he's a good guy and a tireless worker. Happy for him

I am stunned, what the heck is going on? I am at a loss for words.

NOOOO!!! I'm a bit late to this but why???

I swear Grigson hates me, keeps releasing or trading my favourite players. My favourite players now are Wayne, Mathis and McAfee. Hopefully they won't be the the next to go because a trend certainly seems to be setting here!

Honestly i don't see why i get attached to players anymore, and that is coming from the guy who has only been following the team since mid 2011 season.

It better be for a 5th round or better pick!!

You don't even know what pick was traded. I'm personally nervous this hasn't been shared.

I heard the Cowboys have 5 weeks to evaluate him and then, at the end of 5 weeks, if they keep him on their roster the Colts will get a 2015 7th round draft choice.

Mickey Spagnola said on the radio I believe, that is the trade.

They round like Cowboy fans after Dallas released Hamilton last year. If this guy really has that much talent, I feel like he would have already made a NFL team by now.
