I've seen it too many times over the last few years. Wade, Garrett, Jerry the GM, Romo.. You name it and there's a leader coming up short every single week. I'm not even mad right now. My reaction to this loss was very ho hum... I guess that's how it goes when you get used to seeing it every week. You come to know what to expect.

Come next week, I'll be right there following them again.. However, the games of this type have made jack a very dull boy.

Go Cowboys.. errrr :starspin *hiccup*

i know what you mean man, its almost expected these days. i was startin to get exicted when the offense started to click and the d got a few stops but of course then it was back to buisness as usual.

I became indifferent as to whether the Cowboys win or lose many years ago but I still love to watch the games regardless of who wins.

I'm a happy camper these days.

Life is good.

How's OScan doing?

He's an embarrassment out there. He should have been benched today. Can't imagine anyone doing worse.

Except maybe Jenkins.

I don't know what the deal was today but that first series was pathetic.

He was beaten so bad and so often I'm surprised he didn't walk off the field crying.

This is precisely what Jerry needs to fear: Fan indifference

Those two words can be enough to collapse a sports empire.

I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon. It never has before for this franchise - why would it now? The team is ONE game out of first place in the loss column after all is said and done.

I noticed a technique Oscan is failing to do. TURN YOUR HEAD MORON! When the WR turns his head, THE BALL IS COMING MORON!

Just a little issue.

How sad is that? Our new battle cry is "we are only one game out" after
each loss.:laugh2:

How the Cowboys do on Sunday definitely doesn't affect how I feel on Monday.

Hate to say it but there are funner teams to watch right now like the New York Jets.

This was about as big a "team loss" as you can have. The team made too many stupid mistakes from top to bottom.

It's extremely sad. As fans, many of us are grasping for straws right now. It's sickening when you can call out the play before it happens. It's equally sickening to have to continue witnessing that dumbfounded look on Wade's face when something happens that requires an ounce of coaching direction during the game. It pains me to continue to see a good team continue to play below their capabilities. The culture in Big D right now is unhealthy. The football is predictable and the level of discipline necessary for success is absent.

Add to this the fact that my boy CJ got off on us and it makes for a very dull feeling.

This is the direction that I'm very quickly spiraling toward. It's not good for my health getting upset when they lose.

Yeah, my GF called me this morning and said I sound pretty chipper, even though your team lost. I said I would be more pissed off if we were 3-0 and we lost to a mediocre Titans team, now I kinda expect a Cowboys meltdown.

This team expects to lose, they have no winning attitude.

I don't get numb to the losing, just can't watch it when it's really bad. One thing is clear though, I could never be indifferent. The Cowboys mean way to much to me for that. Sometimes games are too hard to watch, but I always check the final score.

I sensed the impending doom after that first TD drive. It wasn't just a bad play or two, they drove the entire field on penalties. That tells me right off the bat, Wade didn't have them prepared to play.

I missed about 10 minutes of the second quarter because I had to pick up my dog. I watched the rest of the game except the last few minutes. The reason I didn't see the last few minutes was because after the final punt to the Cowboys, my Live Scores Android app told me Romo threw a final INT. (the TV game delay was about 4-5 minutes behind) As soon as I saw he threw another INT, the Cowboys were done and I was done.

Because it did happen. From 1986 - 1991, the Cowboys reached lows in sales (merchandising + tix), core value & popularity. Things weren't this bad for the team since the early 60s. The franchise was even sold below fair market value back in 1988. How in the world does that happen? Well, the fans stopped caring about this team - that's why. You can only suck for so long before the fans become indifferent and turn away - and this process will only be accelerated when you suck for an extended period and your team is talented. That will send a strong message to the fan that even with talent, this organization cannot win and will not win until something drastic happens (e.g. personnel change).

For the fan:

Frustration sets in.
This leads to anger (longest stage).
Anger leads to sorrow.
Sorrow leads to indifference.
Indifference leads to the bottom line.

Don't underestimate fan indifference.

Draegerman (Stage IV)

Edit: BTW, that one game out of 1st place line is really lame. Only a fool would celebrate that little fact.
