if it came down to those two to choose from in the first...who would you take?? or who should be taken?

I think I am leaning toward DeCastro to solidify the OL. Then focus on D the rest of the draft with the exception of a TE and WR.

Flip a coin for me, but I think Jerry would take Ingram.
I think Jerry ranks pass rusher over OG.
Also you can find a day one starting OG in the 2nd round. Finding a top pass rusher in the 2nd round isn't as easy.

I'm starting to prefer Mercellus over the other pass rushers/OLBs.

but can you find a OG that looks to have the potential to be a strong 10+ yr starter?

Don't really like Ingram all that much anymore. We need a pass rusher and he just doesn't have the production you'd like to see.

Given the choice, I'd take Decastro

sounds like you already made up your mind who you would take. and i agree with you Decastro all day for me.

I think both these guys might be rated pretty close on our bard but they will take Ingram over Decastro.

Me too. I still want DeCastro over anybody but feel like we are going pass rusher. I like Ingram too but Mercellus is really intriguing.

you're right, i have. lol

I'd be happy with either one. I just think the OG class is deeper. So, it would be tempting to take Ingram (who will not be there anyway) and get a starting OG in the 2nd round.

I misread the thread title as "Instagram of DeCatstro" :D :laugh2:

I doubt Ingram lasts that long. He is the best pass rusher in a weak class.

My biggest issue with Ingram is where does he play? Classic tweener too big for LB too small for DL.

This isn't even a close call.

DeCastro by several million miles.

Ingram = Spencer Clone [Net team improvement = 0 as he will not make more of an impact than Spencer (or possibly negative while he learns)]

DeCastro = 10 year Pro Bowler [Net team improvement = Massive over who he would replace]

The only reason to take Ingram is for salary cap relief to put a mini-Spencer in the lineup for less money. And if we are looking only salary cap relief in the 1st round and not talent improvement, than we are hosed.

This really is a legit question.
