There are some real peculiarities in the initial 53 man depth chart. Looking at this roster, you cannot help but believe that the Cowboys kept a few guys that other teams are interested in trading for, especially with how many offensive linemen they kept. If Zeke shows up in the next few days, the Cowboys will have to make some other cuts. Compounding this is LB Rolando McClain being reinstated, with a $5M contract that the Cowboys have to decide on before the Giants game.

Keep in mind the Cowboys still need to cut two players once Zeke signs and Robert Quinn's suspension ends. That could be when Knight and Thompson go.

Yeah. I mean Thompson is a total JAG and Knight is a dime a dozen rookie OT candidate.

I think that if Zeke goes active, that he will take Connor McGovern’s spot initially. If not, he’s not as injured as they have been letting on.

11 O Linemen seems like overkill, fully realizing that McGovern moves to IR in a few days.

Looney's versatility should mean we can easily get by with 9.

I heard the Cowboys like Wise, but the consistency in practice and games just wasn't there. He's a great developmental guy but not somebody they want to put out there in a regular season game quite yet.

The bigger shock would be if they didn't re-sign him to the practice squad; assuming he clears waivers.
