Jaishawn Barfem is going to be a player once he get's acclimated to the speed of the NFL.

94.5!!! He is already a player.

If he is doing that out of shape, watch out.

I said Barham was not going to give the starting job once he took it over.

I believe they are grooming him to take over when Overshown leaves for UFA.

Barham doesn't always make the tackles, but his effort is superior to Overshown's.

So far theres 2 players on defense I like.... Downs and Barham.

Tho I'll wait to see what they can do against a Quarterback that isn't an escape artist like Daniels, and possibly Jackson. To get those 2 back-to-back is a tough ask for any defense.

Over is more athletic and has more speed.

But he’s UFA after the season.

He lacks 4.5 speed. He’s more 4.65

They’ve put a lot on his shoulders.

I agree that he isn't a speedster but he will play faster once he gets used to the NFL speed and learns to diagnose plays quicker. He looked little hesitant at times as though he isn't sure what he is seeing.

Jaishawn Barfem and Fred Warner's 40 times were sames (4.64s). Straight line speed helps but it isn't everything when it comes to playing ILB.

Holy whatever curse word I can say on here, 94.5 for Barham. No I don't think he was this good because this is an off the charts high grade and yes PFF is only a guide and yes their initial grades often change to the final grade, but damn...

Yeah that seems like a crazy high grade. I'm pretty sure Barham had assignments to spy the QB in the first half that he completely blew. I also saw him fly in several times only to take the wrong angle or gap. I will say he played much better in the 2nd half and made the defensive play of the game which is promising.

I also looked at Williams turning in a solid grade while averaging 2.5 yards a carry. I get that the oline didn't open many holes, but Williams was a nonfactor.

Absolutely agree. Barham may have had a stronger game than I’m thinking he did, but a 94 is an elite level grade.

Honestly, the fact that they released these about 3 hours after a game tells me this isn’t human reviewed tape. It’s gotta be some sort of AI generated review which I don’t know what to make of. No way PFF got accurate grades for entire teams this quickly

PFF is now pretty much a zombie company after Collinsworth sold off the B2B arm of the business, which is where all the data lived. That and the data engineers were sold off when he cashed out

He kept PFF but they are now basically an AI driven fantasy and gambling site. They kept all their subs, didn't allow cancelations, and offer an inferior product becuse he fired all of the analysts and content creators who actually evaluated the data to essentially hollow out the company.

What they do now is buy back the data that used to be theirs from the tech company that bought it. The problem is that the company that owns their systems is apparently failing to understand their own product and the player ratings are more suspect than ever

I had a PFF sub but didn’t renew in April once colinsworth sold out.

I was attacked when I said that this off season. He looks good to some cause we've had some bad LB play the last few seasons. People forgot what a good LB looks like

He is pretty much good and at running to the QB unblocked, and not much else

Good to know. As a long time PFF supporter I find it odd they could get any sort of grades out so quickly.

I didn’t renew my subscription this year for the first time in several seasons….didnt know all the backstory though.

Dmo isn't getting his job back.

I think Winters' position is a better fit for him anyway. I don't see Overshown as a middle linebacker. I think he needs to be more free to run to the ball than be tasked with taking on blockers.
