Initial PFF grades from today - highest scores

I’ve gone to bat for PFF many times, but how in the heck am I supposed to believe these are at all accurate grades for a game that ended a few hours ago?

I’m skeptical to say the least….

They’ve rendered their own grades meaningless.

No one on this defense played well enough to earn a 90+ grade. Things bounced their way, they made some plays but they got lucky.

It’s gotta be some sort of AI generated review which I don’t know what to make of. No way PFF got accurate grades for entire teams this quickly

Get used to this......I honestly believe it will be the dominant grading source within the next 3-5 years. Why not ..........when you take stats for every team after each game, load them into AI and get 100s of grades any way you want within a couple of minutes.

That’s great if it’s mostly accurate. When Barham grades a 94 it raises suspicion about the integrity of the grades the AI is handing out.

So does PFF still suck or not

The point used to be debatable but I would post their grades in years past.

The new AI driven version of PFF is garbage. I won’t ever link them again or consider their numbers as even reliable within their own posts.

Barham’s specific highlight has been his work in coverage. Playing 37 coverage snaps, Barham has surrendered four catches on four targets, but only for a total of two yards. Unsurprisingly, that’s the fewest yards given up in coverage of any qualified linebacker thus far, with Barham’s 92.8 PFF coverage grade leading the league regardless of position.
On top of that, the former Wolverine has been stout against the run. Barham has produced an 83.8 PFF run-defense grade, the third-best among linebackers with at least 35 snaps against run plays. He’s missed only one tackle and tallied six total stops. A particular highlight came against Washington in Week 2 when he forced a fumble on a screen after crashing in,
