Last year was Jaylon Smith.
I presume there is no one that is that level of risk-reward.
But are there any high-end players that could be had with a serious injury?

he is having Labrum surgery after the Combine, not sure if he is going to be ready for TC.

right but that is probably not enough of an injury to get a major drop...
anyone with at least an ACL late in the season ?
or someone who could not play in 2016 due to big injury before 2016?

Biggest injury to a top talent would be Jake Butt's ACL tear in the Orange Bowl. He was being looked at as a possible late 1st round pick guaranteed early 2nd round pick. Injury is not big enough to keep him out of season but he will miss combine & Michigan Pro day and has already dropped him to late 3rd round or day 3 pick status.

Iwas considering Butt also. Hoping for a forth round pick but we're late so maybe 3rd.
As long as we end up with a good pressure guy and DB I'm happy. 2nd round as looking godd

Same. As long as we end up improving the Dline and secondary with our 1st and 2nd round picks and/or free agency, snatching up a talent like Jake Butt with our 3rd would be huge.

Right.
Does anyone remember any DE/OLB that got injured before 2016 season?
Or even SS/WR/CB?

Their is no Jaylon Smith level injury this year. best player to get injured is S Malik Hooker out of Ohio State with a torn labrum and a hernia. Top 5 talent but still talk of him going top 10.

An under the radar player is DE Joe Mathis out of Washington. Didn't do much in the 2 seasons prior but this season he came out like a mad man on the edge and was looking like one of the best pass rushers in the country before his season ending foot injury. only played 7 games. Have seen tape of him lately of him benching 225 40 times in a row and looks like hes has replaced some body fat with pure muscle. If he blows up the combine he could be a 4th or 5th round steal.

I follow. if u spend time down here during the season then u see that their are a good bunch of dratfniks that constantly post about college players who my be in the draft.

I can't think of a player who ended up getting injured before the season started and missed most of if not all the season going into the draft. I know Tennessee Star CB Cameron Sutton fractured his ankle early in the season and has dropped his stock some.

Jake Butt would be such a perfect fourth RD pick for this team.

He could be PUP'ed and brought along slowly next year with an eye on becoming the stater in '18.
