There is a lot of talk about whether or no we can run the ball without Murray. I have a completely different opinion. I wonder if we can run the ball without Martin? I am not a fan of Berny really. I think Free is better than Parnell, but Parnell fills in admirably without a big drop off. However, I'm not confident there won't be a large drop off from Martin to Berny.

As far as Murray goes, I think I would dress him as a just incase we fall behind, but I would start off with Randle and see how it goes first. As crazy as it sounds...I actually think if Martin plays and is his normal self...we might actually be better off with Randle in this game than Murray. Don't get me wrong I love Murray. Indy's run D is bad enough that if the line can get Randle big holes and into the secondary, he has the speed to hit a homerun or 2 that Murray wouldn't. Murray gets the tough yards but once he gets to the 2nd level he usually gets caught from behind. He a consistent 5 yards per carry and then breaks a 20 yarder. I think Randle is more like a Chris Johnson runner, a consistent 2 or 3 yards per carry and then breaks a 70 yarder. Except I think there run D is bad enough that he might be a consistent 5 yard per carry runner and then break a couple really long ones too.

If Martin plays I honestly think Randle is going well over 100 yards (maybe even close to 200) on the ground.

Anyone else see it this way?

I think we will use Randle and Dunbar a lot more to preserve Murray, unless he is absolutely gashing the Colts.

Bern was good last season, especially in the 2nd half; however, when he filled in for Leary in 1 game this season, he was not good. It might help that he would be back to RG instead of LG, but hoepfully Martin can play.

I really don't think that any player supposed to start, will do anything to do less than the same. That includes Frederick, Martin, Free, or Murray.
