Can't do anything but move on and coach on...part of the game, blah, blah, blah....It is what it is......next man up...etc....at the end if the day, coaches and players aren't feeling sorry for themselves, they just turned the page and are getting after it....I hate losing anyone to injury, but I love the challenge and look forward to seeing the adjustments.

It's part of the game..Injuries!

You can tell by the posts the folks whom would sale the farm because of a rat infestation...

Did these same Cowboy fans forget we won a game against Zimmer's Vikings on the road with Cooper Rush whom plays a more significant position than Gregory at QB.

This is why we hired McCarthy. Patch work the battle ship till all hands on deck...

Plus Quinn's shine is fading. Defense needs a young Defensive Lineman to play at a Pro Bowl level.

You tell em coach. Gives the young guys a chance to show what they've got. Some I'm sure have been begging to get a chance.

Injuries are part of the game, but injuries do matter. To think you can take your best players off the field and be the same team you were with them is nonsense. Like the late great George Young, GM of teh Super Bowl winning NY Giants used to say, "Depth is great - until you have to use it." And he said that before free agency when teams could stockpile talent without consequences.

Maybe for one game Dallas can muster the will to defeat Atlanta, but if Gregory and Lawrence are out together for 4 or 5 games is it going to hurt their defense. The Falcon are probably already adding a bunch of deep throws to their offense this week.

Didn't say they didn't matter, but all you can do is move on.....

That’s why I was hoping we’d make it until DLaw and Gallimore came back. Law of averages say we’ll never be truly 100% healthy at one time.

I just hope we're not turning back into the team that has to score 30+ to even have a chance. That only goes so far.

I have a theory as to why the hooks on coaches started getting shorter and it coincides with the cap and FA and teams having to choose their depth, cannot have it like the Cowboys and Niners did in the 90's. The other effect is that they have to play drafted players sooner, gone are the days of bringing a 2nd round OL along like they did in the 70's and 80's.

Striking a balance between their starters and backups with cap allocation is the toughest challenge for management and coaching. I would guess the Cowboys are in the top 3 with cap allocation to starters because they are star focused and I am not bagging on that, it's a way to build a team and sell tickets.

Injuries expose coaching shortcomings. Injuries allow the swing back to it's all about the talent.

Quinn must now make this defense stand up without 4 players he thought he would have on the DL and a secondary that was masqueraded by picks. What happens when the turnovers don't come against a good offense? What happens when he can't get there rushing just 4 and must single Ridley, Gage and Pitts?

We were all bolstered by the sprint part of this season but the marathon part of it with this defense is just now beginning.

In all fairness to the Cowboys FO, there is only one team that really looks at all 53 and actually plans on using them besides just ST. It is Belichick's formula, never get top heavy with the cap on the starters. His problem is he has missed on some of those players but he still seems better prepared to withstand the injuries.

A man's gotta do, what a man's gotta do...
Hell, I started this season thinking they had to average around 34ppg to make the playoffs, that really hasn't changed. This team rides the offense as far as it can take them and hopes the defense can just hang on and keep it in the 20's.

I think some got fooled a little with this defense on how bad it really was last season that no team can fix that in one offseason with any injuries to starters.

Injuries suck but at least it is not going to cost Gregory the rest of the season. Sounds like he could be cleared for the Saints. It is crazy that the Cowboys seem to get Wednesday practice injuries. Tank and CeeDee come to mind.

Put Micah at DE and roll with LVE and Neal and hope dlaw plans on playing soon…

"Next man up" is no plan to overcome adversity. You can't overcome losing talent to injury with coaching in all cases. If you expect an "adjustment" to make everything okay, get ready to be disappointed.

They built a better defensive game plan when dlaw went out. Let's see what Quin can do to help these young guys step up.

Loser mentality! Many said the same about Rush, but wallow in your own misery.....we'll keep grinding....

Your machismo is overriding your brain, coach. Ignoring the reality of the situation isn't the answer. Sometimes you are just beat, overmatched, the weaker opponent. I'm not saying we surrender, we still stay the course to compete. But injuries have a real effect on a team's ability to win. There is no shame in not being able to overcome losses in talent due to injury. As you said, we move on, keep grinding and whatever happens, happens.

With the QBs we’ll be facing the next few weeks we may have to score 30+ to win. We’ve given up 28 or more in four of our eight games. We’ve given up more 25 yard plus plays than any team in the league. Gregory has been arguably our best defensive player up to this point. He’s certainly been our most disruptive. Our offense can’t afford to be off. We can’t be leaving our defense on the field or we’ll be playing from behind a lot the rest of the season.

I think we might have to blitz more to make up for Gregory’s pressure
