I have no issues with the doom and gloom crowd making their voices heard today, after all what has been predicted on this board for months came true last night in many ways. Ultimately the OP is right on this one though. Everyone in that locker room and every coach on that staff is scrambling today to figure out how to move forward and win games. No talk of tanking or firing anyone is going on. They are on to Cincinnati. This is a situation that McCarthy has been through before, and beat the Cowboys with a backup qb when Rodgers was out.
Looking at this optimistically the Giants, Commanders (still tough to say that), Lions, and Bears should all be competitive games even with a backup QB. This defense is opportunistic so who knows maybe you win the turnover battle against a team like Cincinnati and steal one as a big underdog. If this team can just stay afloat though mid season they still have a chance in a weak division. Yeah I know the rest of the East went 3-0 yesterday, but talk to me about how good this division is week 5.
