Good news:

Totally surprised to hear how well Greg Ellis did in practice. For Phillips to even state there's an outside shot he could play against the Rams on Sunday is great. Even if Phillips decides on Sunday to wait another week before easing Ellis back in, just knowing he's now this close to getting on the field makes me and all Cowboy fans feel good.

Of course I have to say how good it was to see Newman back on the field even for only 20 plays. Hopefully he could play a little more against the Rams to get him in shape and knock the rust off.

Also Glenn is in his 3rd week of rehabing from knee injury. Original estimate was he would miss 4-6 weeks. But then team estimates this year re injuries have been a little off. With lotta luck, hopefully he'll be ready for the Eagles or Giants game.

Not so got but not earth-shaking either:

On the other hand, it appears we got nicked a little against the Bears but thankfully nothing like what we did to them.

Doesn't look like Keith Davis can help us against Hall when he returns balls; at least Phillips doesn't seem to think so--but somehow maybe KD will make quick recovery.

Carpenter apparently is also hurt--apparently his arm but don't know any detail.

Also Julius Jones has apparently had 2 concussions so far this season. Presumably the trainers are monitoring the situation.

Maybe JJ should grow some Dreads . With the way MB hits players you would think he'd be the one with concussions.
Side Note:
Has there been any data showing the new Revolution helmets reducing concussions?

The way MB's helmet keeps coming off, he's lucky he hasn't been concussed.

I fully expect Glenn to miss most if not all of the regular season. "Fast healer" isn't on his resume.
