I just want to remind everyone that the following players were out this past week and are all coming back very soon:

Starting LT - 2x All Pro 7x Pro bowler Tyron Smith

Starting #1 WR - 4x Pro bowler Amari Cooper

Starting #2 WR [went down in the 2nd quarter] on pace for the pro bowl this year: CeeDee Lamb

Starting RE; on pace for the pro bowl this year: Randy Gregory

Starting DT: Osa

Starting DT: Gallimore

Starting LE: 2x pro bowler Demarcus Lawrence

2x rushing champ/1x All pro/3x pro bowler Zeke also suffered an injury in the 1st quarter and missed about 10 minutes of game action (~45 minutes of real time).

If you cross reference this with the thread that shows the pff grade for their replacements - it’s very obvious that we’re a much better football team with the above mentioned players on the field. I just want everyone to understand I’m not making excuses - I just wanted you to understand that there’s a reason the above mentioned guys have combined contacts that are nearly $400,000,000. Even if you’re the type of person that has a hard time acknowledging things for what they are - take a look at the list again and think logically. Our entire Dline, one of the top WR duos in professional football, and arguably the best left tackle in football were all out. They’ll be back and hopefully we’re healthy heading into the playoffs.

There is no doubt you don't beat KC missing as many important players as we were especially at their place.

But...

Time to move on to the Raiders, a 34-17 win seems about right. Butt slaps all around, everyone happy again.

Funny isn't it....We're great....We suck...We're great...We suck...but far more We're greats.

Starting QB: Dak Prescott

Tyron Smith is the biggest question mark. If he doesn't come back this year, the OL might not make it. They've looked really bad without him. Martin is the only real consistent OL. It doesn't matter who's healthy if the OL is a mess.

Cooper's injury was a double whammy since they found out about it a day before travel day. Cooper is big part of the game plan and had to be replaced by someone who didn't get any reps and someone who aren't on a same talent level. KM tried to run the same offense as though we had Cooper which was a mistake.

I know the right thing to say is the next man up but in reality you can't do the same things when the next man up doesn't have the same talent or didn't prepare to play all week.
I'm sure the WR will play better this week since the people who will actually play would have been the ones getting the reps and preparation.

Excuses excuses. My favorite cowboys song !! I understand losing when you have a few players out. It’s understandable, especially when they are as impactful the ones we’ve loss— however, and hear me out, why has the defense not struggled as much compared to the offense? This offense is hot garbage the minute a starter is taken off the field. Makes no sense and that shouldn’t be the case.

No reason for the O-line to crumble without Tyron or when one guard gets substituted. No reason for Dak to panic and hold onto the ball longer than I’ve been alive in the pocket. No reason for Zeke to be running like a damaged slug (if he’s hurt he needs to sit out), no reason for WRs to drop every pass throw at them. There’s just too many excuses and lame ones at that. Stop buying into them. If this team really wanted to win, they would’ve showed confidence, power, anger, but alas, they did not. They did not look physical but rather weak. Excuses shall not be made when you can’t even score ONE touchdown with Gallup, Dak, Zeke, Pollard, and Wilson. Colin Cowherd said this the other day about Kirk Cousins: “You can’t have everything” you can’t have perfect 3 WR’s, TE’s, RB’s, O-line, coaching, defense, etc all the time and need to learn to win without some of those things sometimes. That’s what separates the elite from the good. But this team is not elite so of course those qualities do not apply due to them faltering the moment someone steps off the sideline for a belly button contusion.

Injuries impact every team and the more you have makes it even more impactful

It was going to be a tough matchup even fully healthy. I think the disappointing aspect was that the offense just wasn't competitive at all. Even with the injuries on that side, not to score a TD is unacceptable when you are the #1 rated offense.

All teams in the NFL deal with injuries, all the time . All season . On Everygame.

Its the playcallers job to adapt to new rosters .
