Injury concerns are entirely overblown

I unfollow most of the twitter guys until the season starts. Every tweet is about a guy getting hurt or limping...

Probably a wise decision.
Plus just hard to understand many tweets, as to their meaning and tone.
I don't tweet, so only read them on here.

I think any time someone tells someone else how to feel about a subject, it's pretty arrogant. And ignorant.

If folks want to say they're not worried, that's fine. We are all entitled to having and expressing an opinion. But when they try to tell someone else how they should react? Nah, that's stepping over their right as an individual and into someone else's. Doesn't fly with me.

I was told a long time ago that NO ONE can dictate and make you feel any way. YOU choose to feel or think certain ways, you can be influenced yes, but if people are able to change how you feel about certain things you aren't doing it right.

Man this world is getting so PC. Can't say anything anymore. This is a discussion board. Let people talk. If you don't like what they say, refute it. Or let it be.

Not only overly PC, but even texting short cuts and all the social media stuff showing up in everyday life.
I actually heard someone say this, instead of ....saying Oh My God, they said...OMG....I asked what was that, and they looked and me like I was stupid...said, well it means Oh My God, where have you been....I laughed and said...apparently in school....LOL....
The next day, they told someone on the phone...OMW, I looked at them, and they said On My Way....I said, why didn't you text it instead...they weren't amused with me, they were actually serious about it.

I agree. And that's what I ask for in return. It's when people say other people's opinions are 'silly' or 'overreacting' that they overstep their bounds.

If somebody wants to comment in a thread that they're fine with whatever injury, have at it! But no need to start a thread chastising someone for not thinking the way you do.

That's ignorant.

There are two types of injuries, injuries that keep you out of games and injuries that keep you out of practice so that you don't miss games.

So far this camp the front office and training staff has been very cautious with injuries, and as a result what we've seen here is the reporting of and the absence of many players with injuries.

These are minor injuries that players would probably play through if it were week 1, but it isn't week 1. Our goal is to win a super bowl this year, and it shows with how careful the team is being with veteran players. It also shows based on practice participation (especially with guys with injury concerns i.e. Romo, Claiborne, Lee).

The most disappointing injury so far has been Rolando McClain's that looks like he is going to end up missing pretty much all of training camp as a result, which he really needed (especially missing the first 4 games due to suspension).

We haven't had as single major injury to a key player a this point in game. Not even a key role player. That isn't to suggest that we won't lose anyone going forward, but at this point I think we should consider ourselves fortunate and hope that the team can continue to stay healthy going forward.

If you think otherwise, please name me one starter who is currently not slated to make it to week 1. Please calm down until there is a reason to freak out (which hopefully there won't be.

Look around the league so far, and you'll see that teams are being devastated with injuries to key personnel. And they aren't just worried about missing some meaningless preseason games...

Free, McClain, Carr CGreen, DMC, Whaley, Randle?, RWilliams.......just let me know when it is OK to worry about RBs

I say freak out, because facts can prove that these little bumps and dings can lead to bigger things. And if they are happening now, than nagging injuries are going to ensue, SO FREAK OUT PEOPLE!!!!!!! Man all ledges, infuriate your neighbor, and by lords dont calm down!!!!!!!!!!

I dunno think any injury is overblown.
To me there are 3 types of injuries:
1. The ankle is swelling/the leg is broken kind of injury
2. The injury that will keep a player out a week but will heel
3. The "veteran injury" that most veterans develop to avoid the crushing ordeal of training camp 2-a-days.

Either way, ever injury is important

Do not freaks out because most of these are veterans and they is just playing the system and I don't blame them from wanting to keep away from further (or real) injury when in fact it be the rooks and new players who needs most of the TC and repetitions. I base this on research from my annoying neighbor who think he know ever thing, but he does not, really.

I don't want to jinx it, but so far we've had pretty good fortune on the injury front...imo.

Look across the league. Some teams have already lost starters for most or all the season....like we did last year with Sean Lee.

At least Gachkar didn't break Romo's jaw in a fight.

I personally think that these guys just try to get out of practice.

As we've seen with Cowboys practice it is very repetitive. Almost the same thing every day.

IMO these backs and receivers get too much rest and the OL don't get enough.

Just from the mental side of it.. Lining up and cracking heads everyday gets old after awhile.

Getting out of practice!? Not the case for Dez and Lee for sure or Carr. Players love to practice and play. Maybe a little with Free and don't know enough about McFaden to have an opinion.

Might be too late by then.......I try to use a little more foresight than that

I'm glad someone does. Some people think we can pull one off the shelf somewhere in week one and roll over the Giants!
