The guy they got from Miami, a former 1st round pick, time for him to step up.

What about Nashon Wright they seem do high on, time for him to earn his paycheck.

We can see what Bland really has now. And if good, he replaces Gilmore on the other side for 2024.

Remember last year, when both Lewis and Brown went down, the defense took a step back, as well, Hankins also.
Lewis is back, and will be slot, and that is not horrible. Bland better than Brown.

Pass rush, stays strong and gets even better. This helps the DB's.

They can always roll a Safely to help Bland or whoever depending the offense we play, as long as it does not hurt the overall scheme or game plan.

Overshown surgery a success :: Cory Mose

After his surgery for a torn ACL yesterday, Demarvion Overshown was in good spirits.
He went on IG to tell fans “Surgery went good…next year finna be a movie”
Can’t wait to see him back with this dominant Dallas defense

When MM won the SB with GB, they went through many injuries. I think they had over 10 guys on IR (don’t recall the exact number).

So— with all the bad news regarding injuries— MM has been able to navigate this kind of adversity before and get the job done.

Injuries suck when they happen obviously. But they also force the team to continuously overcome challenges together and work as a team in new and innovative ways.

No silver lining, he got into the heads of opposing quarterbacks like no other DB that we’ve had in decades. We are a weaker team without him.

Adversity reveals character. We are about to see what kind of heart this team has.

Do they hang their heads and feel sorry for themselves? Or do they pull together and find a way to get the job done?

My money is on the latter. I think MM, DQ, Dak, Micah, D Law etc… have this team in a great state of mind.

In a strange way, when teams overcome adversity and go through tough times, they emerge stronger and more confident than had everything been rolled out on a silver tray for them.

Gotta fight for everything and gut it out. Looking fwd to seeing how the team comes out on Sunday.

There's always a silver lining if you choose to see one if not you're just one of those Debbie Downers you see everything in Gray.... We have no choice but to have a silver lining and I'm sorry but if you don't understand how ridiculously great our pass rush is right now how deep we are at safety how great Dan Quinn is and adjusting in games and throughout the season to these kinds of adversities and the fact that we got Gilmore, kept Lewis, have bland is in another year experienced,

we are in a better position right now to lose a guy like diggs than we were when we lost brown and Lewis last year...

That's the silver lining.... No crying over spilt milk no saying we become less of a team without him teams all have to lose players and still win it's called next man up and you may think it weakened our team a lot but I think maybe we're exaggerating a little bit he's an off the ball ball Hawking high risk type of corner which is great it may get in the head of a occasional quarterback but now that we had Gilmore he will take that role and bland is also a ball hawk and Jordan Lewis is a very solid inside guy and it's good that we kept him smart by the coaches... We also got that other corner in it that trade for Kelvin Joseph that seems like Dan Quinn might like more and we have other guys on this team as well..

so yes we were prepared for this situation even though we're not happy about it... If this was deon Sanders we're talking about where he literally took away half a field he literally was a shut down corner where he could just take a guy out the whole game then it would be a much bigger impact but that's not the type of player diggs is so you can cover up his side using two guys bracketing and letting Gilmore go one-on-one however you wanna do it there is a way right now to overcome this loss.. Now if we lose another one of our corners then we could start talking about truly being exposed back there....

This isn’t a therapy session, there is no positive spin here. We are a lesser team after loosing one of the league’s top corners. Will it preclude us from beating top teams that we might have previously beaten? Only time will tell.

Aaron Rodgers… They had Aaron Rodgers..
I get that line of thinking. But then I look at all that Aaron Rodgers has accomplished sans MM and wonder why so many think like this.

After all, if I am to listen to the CowboysZone and believe anything outside of winning a Super Bowl = fail, then AR has been nothing but a failure without MM.

Just sayin'

So you’re saying you definitely will cry, cry hard, and convince others to cry over the spilled milk with you.

You are determined lately to not let other fans enjoy winning. Good job!

Here.

Anyone who follows the Cowboys knows this is a big blow to the team. Anyone trying to spin there’s a silver lining to losing one of your best players on defense after only two games, is reaching for something that isn’t there. If being candid about the situation is ruining your enjoyment of the Cowboys great start to the season, then I suggest stop reading my posts or put me on ignore.

I don’t remember the injuries the Packers suffered during the 2010 season but not sure they lost anyone as significant as Trevon Diggs. Part of the reason they were able to overcome all those injuries is they had one of the top 5 greatest QBs to ever play the game. Everything the Packers did revolved around Aaron Rodgers. After the Cowboys lost Anthony Brown last season the secondary started to struggle. It had a noticeable affect on our defense. We ended up having to play musical chairs, trying to find an answer at that corner position. We have to hope whoever replaces Diggs steps up. A big reason the Cowboys have gotten off to such a great start has been their defense that currently ranks number one. We don’t have an explosive, big play offense and we’ve had some issues in the redzone, so we’re going to be depending on our defense a lot. Hopefully the loss of Diggs doesn’t cause the defense to lose much of its potency. Whoever replaces Diggs is going to be a target.

Like I said you can take your doom and gloom somewhere else I don't need therapy maybe you do some of us seeing a silver lining are the ones that don't need therapy people like you need therapy and by the way this is an entertainment value area of the Internet so yes for some it might be therapy meaning have a nice discussion about it it becomes a little less daunting... I hate to break it to you but distractions are the best therapy there are...

It’s really not that complicated… if you lose one of your team’s best and one of the league’s best players at an important position, your team is diminished. Less than before. Before better, now worse. Team with Diggs >> than team without Diggs, so on and so forth, no silver lining - accepting reality is the rational response, but apparently can be painful and difficult for others.

I don’t think I’ve heard one silver lining statement other than maybe Bland is a more physical tackler/player.

Not crying over spilled milk is an idiom. Here this will help you understand.

I’m not crying over anything, the Cowboys still have a good team without Diggs, but he’s a big loss. There’s a lot of fans on this board taking the loss of Diggs very hard. One of them started a thread claiming they’ve lost their enjoyment for the season. You might want to send them that link.

Please take care of that for me and let me know how he responds.

Thanks.
