I'm curious which players won't be able to play in the next PS game.

Martin - I think he will be back.
Jones - I think he could play if it was the regular season.
T. McClain - Unknown.
Hitchens - Unknown.
Carr - Has participated in some drills.

Who else?

The online it sounds like the only one that might be a question is Leary, probably will depend on how his back holds up through the week.

Carr I bet doesn't. The coaches know enough about him to let the hand heal I'd think. Jones I bet the coaches want out, but will do what ever the Doctors suggest.

Weeden has to clear the concussion protocol, and we really need to see the other 2 backups anyway.

I would be careful on Dez. I'm sure it was a minor hamstring strain but none the less If he played in this next game I would think it would be very limited. Frankly would sit him in this game if it were my call

Leary is one that I was forgetting. Crawford and Hayden also have back strains, IIRC.

I have seen enough from someone like Carr, Jones, and Leary for them to stay out until Week 1.

What the heck, rest them all until week one........
Especially the RB's, so we can get almost 3 weeks of more RB's threads......:lmao2:

Ironically, that's about the same number of weeks we'll probably have at least one healthy RB on this team during the season.

I think it becomes important for the offense to get a few drives together at some point
Mostly for timing but most of our starters haven't had a whole lot of time for conditioning either

Hanna is about to lose his job to Swaim(sp?) if he doesn't get back soon

I think most of the others have been mentioned:
Tyron
Leary
Free
Lee
Crawford
McClain T
Carr
Jones
Dez
Hitchens

others not looking promising:
Green
McClain R
Nzeocha

Swain is sure pushing for a spot and assuming he continues I think he is going to set up a very big decision. Do we carry 4 or trade one

Prob comes down if Boys want to keep 3 qbs (most likely Showers over Vaughn). If they do, then keeping 4 TE's will be difficult. Well have to go short at DE/DT or carry no more than 6 LB's.

I agree
What we do at QB is going to be interesting
To me based on the two games so far I keep showers and send Vaughn to the ps
I see them fairly equal so far. But showers is in his first camp. On top of that he can actually help some on special teams. At this point neither is nfl ready but if we get to the point our 3rd QB is playing we have major issues anyway and if that happened they would sign another vet
I think if you keep showers you could go short at safety. If showers can do what McCray does, you don't need mccray
