Injury update and Collins situation

I am getting the "I am milking it" vibe from him.

He tore his ACL last October. Other players have torn their ACLs and come back quicker. Devin Bush tore his ACL last December and he started the season for the Steelers, for example.
I’ve always thought he didn’t have the love for the game
Dak went all in on his recovery and that’s helping motivate him this year
This was a chance for hill to do the same and I just don’t know if his future is in Dallas
Right now I just don’t see a spot for him

I have wondered because how things are going thus far if the Cowboys are allowing more time to fully recover as opposed to being in a situation where you look to rush a player back. Just a guess on my part.

I had that same guess. I was just looking at the schedule and all due respect to the other teams, the Chiefs look like the toughest on the upcoming schedule.

I’m getting the ‘don’t rush back’ vibe from the team. Others are playing well so they’re in no hurry to do anything at all with Hill.

Which is better - letting Steele get more game time or bringing in Collins after missing 3 games and having to get back in game shape (to some degree, probably not a lot)?

Methinks it should be the former..
I don't know if Philbin is open to rotating, but it's an option.

Sucks to hear Gallimore update, heck Trysten Hill might be back before him.

After the bye, I guess, Gallup..Collins..Bossman..McKeon and Armstrong are back???

That elbow must have been worse than originally stated.
No, it isn't. They will activate him when they need him. They certainly don't need him until later in the season. For every player activated they will have to take a player off the active roster.

I wonder if they’re saving several of these guys for Kansas City?

That is my thinking as well.
DLaw though could be ready fro the Denver / Atlanta games time frame. But I seen something a few weeks ago, more expected to be a mid November time frame. Which would be that Atlanta game. But I see it more for the KC game.

All others should be back for the Denver game. Except Gallimore may be had out to return to KC also.

Oh and is Trysten Hill dead? We get zero updates on him.

Seen something last week, where he could be back around same time as DLaw and Gallimore.

He is not eligible to practice until after the NE game. then they have 2 or is it 3 weeks to make a decision. Activate or IR. But if he goes to IR, I think it is for the season, not able to return. Not sure of that though. Or they could release him, which I doubt. As much as some fans want this, it will not happen.

I seen where they are looking toward having Gallimore and Hill out on the field together. At least from what one reporter was saying.
And no, it was not Mickey.

Collins situation has to be about money lost during the 5 game because after Sunday game the suspension is lifted anyways. Judge will not rule until Friday so even if he ruled in Collins favor I would expect Steele to start this game anyways.
Steele playing this weekend is as it should be. Collins return this weekend could be detrimental to the team if Collins is rusty from the layoff. Keep Steele in there.

I agree. If by some chance Friday the judge ruled in favor of Collins at the most I would have him in a backup role. I think the most likely is the judge finds in favor of the league, he misses this coming game and the suspension is lifted at that point he we will be able to workout with the team and get himself ready for the game vs Minn.

Some dont want to accept the truth about him. Next year in his contract year he will look ok and some here will want to resign. Smh

He might end up getting IR'd for the season or even cut. Once all these players start becoming available, Cowboys are going to have to trim the roster

Dammmm, the kid is only 23 and we, including me, have written this guy off not only because of his injury prone career so far but also i just have this perception of him being lazy and not dedicated. You can bet if Dallas cuts him he will be picked up by another club in no time. No idea how he will turn out to be then. Maybe this one we can look to trade for a bag of magic beans.

How long can players remain on the IR-Designated for return? Is there a limit of weeks before the team has to make a decision?

If I had to guess on DLaw I would say Thanksgiving
