We chalked these up as easy wins, but they are going to be anything but. I'm still not worried too much about the Commanders, but that Lions game is going to be rough.
I didn't... but I think the general thought and consensus was that we would roll through the 49ers, Commanders and Lions and be 3-1 at the bye.davey999;4122972 said:You chalked up the Lions as an easy win? Really?

honyock;4123054 said:It depends on what grade the separation is. Emmitt had a grade 1 (the least severe) in that game against the Giants in '93, and they taped and stabilized it and he continued. It looked like they were doing the same thing with Felix on the sideline. With a grade 1, it's mainly dealing with pain, it won't get worse by getting hit (it'll just hurt like crazy).
If it worse than that, I don't see how he even came back in the game. I had a grade 2 separation a few years ago and I couldn't even lift my arm for a few days. If it was a 2 or a 3, I can't see that they'd have let him back in the game.

Grade 1 is basically a clinical diagnosis as it will appear normal on x-ray. In principle, there has to at least be a partial thickness injury to one of the main supporting ligaments of the AC joint to make that diagnosis.
Grade 2 and 3 are very clear and you don't need an x-ray to see that it is separated.
