Which of these players do you all think will or will not play next week?

Romo
Felix
Miles
Dez
Costa
Newman
Scandrick

Miles reinjured his hammy and may not be back 'til week 6, or so they say.

I believe Romo, Dez & Newman will for sure be back

Miles and OScan are for sure out.

And its up in the air on Costa & Felix.

Miles's hammy worries me...

Man, we really need our guys over these next two games. Who woulda thought both the Commanders and Lions would be 2-0 right now? We chalked these up as easy wins, but they are going to be anything but. I'm still not worried too much about the Commanders, but that Lions game is going to be rough.

You chalked up the Lions as an easy win? Really?

I didn't... but I think the general thought and consensus was that we would roll through the 49ers, Commanders and Lions and be 3-1 at the bye.

We have to let Miles rest that hammy - hopefully this will get Dez to develop some more chemistry with Romo. I also hope Dez understands the importance of his health to the team with Miles out and plays under control.

Is Felix going to be out? I thought he played the game with the shoulder separated. Anyhow, not a bad idea to give him a week off. he should recover fully from the injury but it does take some time.

I was hoping TNew was going to be back next week or for the Lions at the latest. I saw Walker out there today and he looked okay.

Dez needs to learn to play with some damn thigh pads first. Felix will probably be out...no need to risk him when you have Choice and Murray at that position. Costa has been pretty crappy so far and his shotgun snaps have been

It depends on what grade the separation is. Emmitt had a grade 1 (the least severe) in that game against the Giants in '93, and they taped and stabilized it and he continued. It looked like they were doing the same thing with Felix on the sideline. With a grade 1, it's mainly dealing with pain, it won't get worse by getting hit (it'll just hurt like crazy).

If it worse than that, I don't see how he even came back in the game. I had a grade 2 separation a few years ago and I couldn't even lift my arm for a few days. If it was a 2 or a 3, I can't see that they'd have let him back in the game.

I don't know the basis of their diagnosis.

Grade 1 is basically a clinical diagnosis as it will appear normal on x-ray. In principle, there has to at least be a partial thickness injury to one of the main supporting ligaments of the AC joint to make that diagnosis.

Grade 2 and 3 are very clear and you don't need an x-ray to see that it is separated.

Yes, a grade 2 or 3 and you usually get a nice bony bump on your shoulder.
