That shows that these people aren't animals that most want to peg thim. I've been locked up and it's a fallacy that everyone in there doesn't have a conscience even if they have made terrible mistakes in their behavior on the outside.

There are plenty of animals in prison. Plenty.

That being said, I'm really glad those guys helped the guard out. They should be given an extra cookie at dinner for at least a month.

Good to hear stories like this. It's also good to hear that some guards are complete *****. This guy obviously isn't if the inmates protected him.

Dont get me wrong, there are plenty of monsters in jail, but not so much in county where alot of guys are just awaiting trial bc they cant post bail. I just think the stigma attached totally ends lives with felony convictions. I know plenty of guys with one drug charge who can't get a job that pays well enough to live on their own. It is something that this country has been doing the last 30 years and I don't feel it is justified in anyway. Selling poison is wrong, but people will buy it regardless, no one gets on alcohol and tobacco companies, why not the same stigma?. It smells.
