Raiders receivers privately are grumbling about the team's quarterback situation. Free-agent pickup Aaron Brooks and second-year pro Andrew Walter have not impressed the men they are throwing to. The receivers have taken issue with Brooks' accuracy and believe he is not an upgrade over Kerry Collins, who manned the position last season. . . .

Damn, Pompei. If your report is true, there is only ONE receiver on the Raiders' roster, whose opinion about his starting quarterback, holds any real value for a-n-y-b-o-d-y. Be a man and just quote him already. Do you really think that readers believe that the rumblings of Oakland's #5 wide receiver means squat?

Raiders WRs coach Fred Biletnikoff hinted Tuesday that Johnnie Morant may have surpassed Jerry Porter on Oakland's depth chart.
Morant had a big preseason opener. Alvis Whitted and Doug Gabriel are both ahead of Porter, who's barely played in the exhibition season.

Hmm sometimes I wonder what the heck teams are thinking....
did the Raiders REALLY think that Brooks would be a solid starter? He couldn't make it on that semipro team in New Orleans.
They should've kept Collins, sadly.
Hopefully they'd like to acquire Drew Henson for a 3rd round pick.
I seriously think that Henson is as good as anyone they have on their current roster at QB. And its not as if the Raiders are going anywhere this year anyway...except maybe to LA...ha

Thanks, he is a great dog. I like dogs better than people. But then again, dogs are the dominant species on the planet. We feed them, house them, pet them, give them free health care. They understand our language but we don;t understand theirs. They are a lot like democrats.

My cat would disagree with you. It reminds me of the cartoon where a dog thinks "Wow - they shelter me, give me food, water and a bed...They must be a God" and the cat thinks "Wow - they shelter me, give me food, water and a bed...I must be a God"
