George Pickens reportedly impressed his new Dallas Cowboys teammates and coaches throughout springtime workouts after they acquired the mercurial wide receiver from the Pittsburgh Steelers in May.

For an article published on Tuesday, NFL insider Jeremy Fowler of ESPN shared why some around the league view the Cowboys' decision to take a flier on Pickens as one of the best moves made by a franchise this offseason.

"He'll be a big piece there," one unnamed AFC personnel man said about Pickens featuring for a Cowboys team that has CeeDee Lamb as its No. 1 receiver. "When [Pickens is] covered, he's really open. I know the concerns are there, but I think having an already established passing game with veterans to help him along, and the fact he's in a contract year, will help keep him in line. If you can tap into what he can do fully, his major ability will shine through."

"Insider" has no idea when the bullets start flying. We'll see.

By the way, is it coincidence that Coogs has stopped starting threads and here's this new poster starting a bunch of threads? Never seen them in the same place at the same time either. Hmmmmmm.

What are we considering staying in line?

That’s a grown man
From a team standpoint, probably just showing up on time for practice and meetings and not drawing a bunch of penalties by losing his temper. I doubt he's expected to never lose his temper or let frustrations show. He's a passionate player so that passion is going to flare at times.

"Dealing with CeeDee and [Pickens] opens things up for them," one NFC East coach said about the Cowboys having a dynamic one-two punch as part of their passing attack while speaking with Fowler.
Hard-hitting, highly confidential information published using extreme caution. Serious stuff. So serious it deserves its own seriously minded theme music (click here to listen).

I know some Steelers fans.
They did not like trading away Pickens. But as usual how fans do, or some fans. They eventually try to justify things. Some of them are now saying. Well wait until the problem and issues start up. blah blah.
One still does not like the trade, but made a few minor comments about his antics. Will see how she reacts later on as the season nears, or starts.

I guess it is like a defense mechanism to feel better about the situation.

They thing is, this is not an "all in" trade. He can help the offense tremendously, but the defense must improve a lot if they want to go further in the playoffs. If the defense was consistently good, this could put the team in contender territory for a deep playoff run.
But as of now it doesn't. And if he really helps to that degree. How do you keep him from being a top FA.

Nobody's ever seen anything like it before!!

Just wait til Dak throws him one of his patented worm burner 2 steps behind throws that could have been a TD. Then we will now where GP3 is at mentally.

I'm just glad I saw his praise of me, I'm doing you and all the other mods a great deal of service by taking time off and not creating threads. I should be compensated greatly for my services!! Caffeine free
We know it's you, Peter Parker.

oh no. no no no. Please do not mess with my comic book geek brain associating him with one of (if not) the biggest Marvel Comics characters. My head will explode thinking about it.

Nicepool. That is more Coog's speed. Yeah. Nicepool.

Just wait til CD starts crying on national TV after Dak throws it in the dirt at Pickens feet . The "I was wide open" thing will rear it's head.

I figure there are several posters here with multiple accounts.

Some playing different characters. Likely.
