Very interesting video.

Wish there was some more to the story about how DDP came into the mix.

I guess, just from looking around on YouTube, DDP has championed this Yoga routine. Although, in one video he didn't want it called "yoga" and instead calls it YRG.

What an inspiration. More people should see this. I too would like to see how DDP got involved w/ this individual. The impact he had on this man in assisting him w/ the knowledge and support is astounding.

Just goes to show you w/ the right frame of mind and dedication, anything is attainable.

Thanks for sharing

Wow, it's amazing that he could turn his life around like that.

I also seriously question the doctors who would tell someone with arthritic changes in his knee and back that he will never walk unassisted at that age. That is terrible advice to give someone in that state. I suspect they had given up on him. Thankfully not everyone did and most importantly he did not.

I've admitted guys who 3 months after their injury need 3 people to help them sit up in bed. Who were still disoriented to time and place. Who could not speak a word. And yet with about 15 months of rehab in hospital he could walk again (albeit with a walker). There are a number of other cases I can think of where everyone gave up on them and yet we managed to get them functional again. That's not to say we accomplished this for every patient that comes to us but the variance in outcomes is so broad that I always try to keep an open mind when I see the consults I get from acute care hospitals.

Diamond Dallas Page used to be a professional wrestler. I was in a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Montgomery, Alabama circa 1999, trying to order my breakfast, when I noticed my waitress was not writing down anything I had said & was looking across the room instead of taking my order. I got her attention and asked what was wrong. She was star struck because Diamond Dallas Page was eating at a table about 20 yards away. She literally was not able to function because she was so caught up in the fact that he was in the restaurant. I told her to just go say "hi" to him & get an autograph if she wanted. She was too petrified to approach him. So, wanting my breakfast order to actually be completed, I went over to him and asked if he would meet my waitress and sign an autograph for her. He said, "sure, no problem" so I waived her over. After a couple of minutes she returned to my table - gushing with excitement - and finally took our order. We had great service for the rest of the time there.
