Instant Analysis: 23 of Cowboys 30 national invites now known
http://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/201...-22-of-cowboys-30-national-invites-now-known/
The Cowboys won’t announce their complete list of national pre-draft invites for the 2016 draft, but that doesn’t mean the names won’t be known prior to the draft. Cowboys Wire has gathered a list of 22 of the 30 prospect visitors, and it’s headlined by six quarterbacks, five running backs, two receivers and six defensive lineman.
Over recent years, the players who eventually make their way to Dallas during draft weekend have been plucked directly from players they’ve brought into Valley Ranch for either one of the 30 national visits, or via Dallas Day, where prospects who attended high school or college in an extended Dallas area, come in as a large group.

Last year, Chaz Green (3rd rd) and Mark Nzeocha (7th) were known National Invites. What wasn’t advertised was that Randy Gregory (2nd) and Damien Wilson (4th) were last minute visitors to the Ranch. Ryan Russell (5th round out of Carrollton, TX) apparently was part of Dallas Day. Laurence Gibson (7th) had a private workout with the team. The only name remaining is Geoff Swaim, from University of Texas...
