Instant Analysis: Tony Pollard

I think we’ve all been conditioned by Linehan’s simple In-n-Out Burger menu scheme and play-calling.

I think Moore needs to be given a chance to show what he can do. I can’t possibly imagine him being worse. You have to remember Moore played in one of the most creative offenses in recent memory at Boise State. While I’m not suggesting we’ll be doing the Statue of Liberty play, I do think he’ll find a way to spread it out.

Zeke will still be Zeke but we’ll also have other weapons to utilize other than just calling a play for Rod Smith to run into a pile a of guys on 2nd and 8.

Pollard was one of my pet cats and I think he was picked right where he should have gone in the 4th.

He looked very sound in video. Routes looked good and he was very effective blocking out of the slot. His game looks much more rounded than Dunbar. There is alot more should be able to do with him on the field. I think there will be times you see him in the slot as opposed to Cobb

Moore also spent his entire NFL career under Linehan.

I don’t see Kamara like traits as Stephen said, but to me he is way better than Tavon. I see a Curtis Samuel type player.

The more video I see of Pollard the more excited I get for this up coming season. He could be better than what they expected of Dunbar. Adding playmakers to the offensive side of the ball is always a good thing.

Pollard is very athletic and could be a huge success.

I think Pollard will be more receiver than running back for us. He could be the starting slot receiver soon.

We added Cobb and Witten as a free agents and Cooper, Pollard and McGovern in the draft. We should be much better on offense this year....

Just me, but that UCF film was terribly unimpressive. Blitz pick up was bad, seemed to give up running routes, and elusiveness and toughness running the ball was pedestrian.

If this guy had been picked by the Eagles we’d be laughing hysterically. Of course they would have the fallback hope that a real offensive scheme might save the pick.

Hill had one splash play on that film. So there’s that.

I like Pollard for what he can provide on special teams. I have zero confidence in the staff using him on offense

I see Moore using Pollard w Zeke in both the run and pass game together in the backfield. Would offer that flexibility and counter to our power run game.

Can also see him motioning out of the backfield and running routes out of the backfield w Zeke. Pollards going to be a difficult cover for most Lbs and looks smooth running routes.

Weber is Going to also be in this rotation to take carries away from Zeke. Our Rb depth went from weakness to strength. Excited about the playmaking and speed at the position.
