The fact that we can run Wade's coverage schemes with the bottom of our depth chart at CB is more proof that we don't really need to spend the kind of money and draft picks that we have spent on the secondary...when our scheme is designed to let the WR catch the ball...then tackle him. What CB can't do that?

Was that what san diego's D was like with wade phillips?

But the bottom of the depth chart is where the draft picks were spent. Not following your logic...

Not to mention a fully healthy Newman is still better than the guys we have, who played very well today.

I knew this was going to be an interesting thread when I saw the title....

I think the better question is why we keep trotting out Henry at starting CB when he is the worst player we have.

I would also question why we keep trotting Flo out there to do his impersonation of a statue. Now would be a good chance to see what Free can do. If he gets BJ injured that can only make us stronger so there is really no downside here.

I second that opinion>

Why is Flo out there? Put Free or McQuistan out there and see what happens. First, you find out if either can play. Second, it may motivate Flo to play better. Obvoiusly, something is wrong with Fol. Injury or age?

The problem is we just gave Flo starting left tackle money. And at this point of the season, there's no way the coaches are going to leave Romo's blind-side to anyone else. They may need to re-adjust the scheme by lining up Curtis to help.

Maybe next season, the coaches can experiment with Flo taking the left guard position and finding someone quicker to play left tackle.

What a great idea...
But you kow... if you want BJ to get hurt, just keep Adams there, that will happen... :laugh2:

why? Will he learn to block? put Bennett in there if you want to do that. At least he tries to block the opposing player.

False Start Adams has a stinger in his shoulder. We really should rest him till Romeo comes back...

Curtis can block, not as well as Witten. I'd keep Bennett fresh and let him run routes....he's turning out to be a great pick at this point.

Bennett's chip blocks are incredible. It's more of a GTF outta my way, he damn near finishes the guy off and continues on with the route. I was amazed at how wide open he was on his first ball. So was the LB I'd imagine.
