So, who says you can't talk the refs into changing their minds?

Should that have been IG? It looked like he clearly threw the ball into the ground, although Witten was within a few yards from where it hit the turf.
 
Romo knew exactly what he was doing. The target was tied up.

It doesn't matter if he intentionally through it into the ground. If there was a receiver in the area, by rule, it isn't illegal.

No. This happens all the time. Even on screens where the RB has nothing because he is already being covered or tied up in the backfield.
 
They got it right, it wsnt grounding, not even close. Even if witten wasn't there wasn't it to the los and not grounding because of that.?

I actually applaud the officials on that one. Romo correctly pointed out that he had a receiver in the area and that receiver was the player affected by the defensive hold, so they righted the call.
