Interactive Mock in Progress on ESPN.com

Hmm Mike Jenkins is still on the board, if he's still around at 22 I think they give him to us.

EDIT: nevermind, Tampa got him at 20.

Anyone wanna bet they give us Felix Jones at 22?
Well, you were right on the money. And Stewart was still available. :puke:

Jerry Jones has stated he doesn't want to reach on a player. If the Cowboys' scouts believe Felix Jones is worth this pick then I'm all for it.

If they do take Jones here then it shows they view him as more than just a 3rd down / kick returner.

22. Dallas Cowboys
Felix Jones, RB, Arkansas
What, you're surprised? Despite the obvious Arkansas ties, remember Jones has world-class speed but also has some power too. The Cowboys need a running back and Jones is a nice change-of-pace back to Marion Barber. He also can return kicks, something that Dallas needs as well.

No, Doug, I'm not. You moron.

Enjoy.

No CB's taken in the first 15... Talib the first off the board to Arizona. Interesting.

Imediately after the top 3 come off in quick succession though.

I certainly could see New Orleans and New England passing on CB's. I expect New England will end up either trading back to more of the middle of round 1 or going after a LB at #7. I don't believe that any of the CB's on the board qualify as value at #7. And New Orleans needs DT help a LOT more than they need CB help.

Felix has world-class speed?

I really wonder off what street corner they get these Scouts Inc. "experts".

Will he miss training camp if he goes to the Olympics?

Yea, that quote made me pause. Special Olympics world-class speed, maybe.

He's certainly quick, but his top-end speed is certainly less than world-class.

Ugh......

28. Dallas Cowboys
Limas Sweed, WR, Texas
The Cowboys are doing everything to help Tony Romo and adding Sweed (and Jones earlier) does just that. Sweed is a big, tall, fluid receiver with good hands who seems to catch everything thrown to him and is also good getting yards after the catch. Adding Sweed to Terrell Owens and Jason Witten makes this already dangerous pass offense downright scary.

Hey, guess what Doug? You're still a moron!

Sweed @ 28? Come on... I'd rather trade down a few spots and pick up Flowers/Cason or something.

Doesn't mean they didn't reach.

Could just mean that they think that Felix Jones is more than we do.

Could mean that they're wrong too.

It really bothers me how often Dallas is linked to this part-timer.

:banghead:

I asked this in another thread a few days ago, but didn't get much of an answer.

If Dallas doesn't pick F. Jones at 22, does anyone really not think he'll be there at 28? I'm not so sure anyone between the two selections would want him, with the possible exception being San Diego.

The ONLY reason that Dallas is constantly liked to Felix Jones in the draft is because the people that do these believe that Jerry Jones would draft a Razorback at every pick in the draft if he could....

You mean like he always does, right?
