Durant was here last year. Jaylon isnt ready and Wilson will get suspended. So your rotation theory is out the window. Taco has looked rough, Paea you know NOTHING about, Tapper has done absolutely nothing and looked lost. McClain and Crawford were solid players here for a few years and proved themselves. Demarcus Lawrence in a contract year is the ONLY thing this line may be better for. And he may get hurt or suspended anytime like he usually does.

Marginal? Well at least you admit its not much if anything.[/QUO
Taco is young and has size/talent and has shown the ability to improve already.

Collins year 2 is looking like a beast.

Paea has looked very good as well. Cant discount his camps but then include Tappers...

Lawrence is available and looked like an upgraded version of himself in contract year.

Not to mention the guys on suspension have looked very good for us as well.

That looks like an improved line to me. Lbs have lee and the start of the year might be rough but they can mask it by mostly using 1-2 lb sets. By mid season when smith gets experience and hopefully even healthier, and we get hitch back, and hopefully wilson as well, we will be fine there.

As for the secondary we are younger and more athletic though less experienced. I expect growing pains but their share of plays as well. People forget scan is actually pretty good even without ints.

The Int opportunities have been there, we just don't make the play. How many dropped int's have we seen over the years? Just this preseason, we have seen plenty of dropped ints already. For whatever reason, this team just can't finish the play on ints.

That's all your negative spin on what I already said. I don't agree with your take on any of that, but especially that Jaylon won't be an upgrade, or that Taco has looked rough, or that it's too soon to have a measure on Paea.

And, yes, I said marginal. And yes this is all beside the point of the thread.

So after all your write up and you telling me I am negative and wrong you come to this conclusion?

-If everything goes well, we might see a marginal improvement?

That is pretty much exactly what I have been saying. You just believe everything will go well. I am more realistic.

Same thing, different poster. You are basically claiming that everything will go great in all instances. Heard the same thing from you guys before camp started and look at all the things that have gone wrong.

-Draft picks 2-4 have barely played
-Hitchens is out
-Zeke suspended
-Wilson will be suspended
-Irvin may be suspended longer
-Crawford got hurt
-Dont hear you guys touting Tapper anymore. Warned you about him too. He has done nothing.
-And no, Taco has not looked good. Showing that he can improve is par for the course.

Everything is not going to happen like you hope it does. Unfortunately.

Why ignore Collins and Paea look like factors in the middle? Why act like 1-2 lb sets here arent a common thing? Does Lawrence not look improved?
I cant say much for the secondary because they havent played yet but the front 7 looks at the very least, as good as it has been the last few years. Thats not saying much but the talent level is much improved.

This defense was never going to cary us anyways. Our offense will.

If we're saying the same thing, why are you asking me about it? I'm not saying "if everything goes well." I'm saying "if we perform at a level similar to what we saw last year with marginally better talent on defense we should expect marginally better results."

You're not being realistic. You just don't realize it.

The only marginally better talent is either a rookie or not 100%. That wont get you improvement. That will get you beat. And then all the injuries and suspensions on top of it tip the scales the other way. You want positive, lets talk about the offense. But dont act like all these injuries, rookies, and suspensions arent going to hurt the team. Realistic and you aren't even in the same sentence.

Just think............If I am wrong, you get to tell me about it. You know you will hear it from me if its the other way.

Instead, just think: I don't really care what your opinion is on this matter because I don't value the reasoning you're trying to apply at all, so I won't bother to remember to tell you you're wrong later.

I answered your question because you asked. I don't know how the defense will deliver relative to last season. I was actually shocked how well they played last season. They're marginally better on paper, so I'm going in expecting marginal improvement. But the reality is usually different from the expectation. We'll just have to see what happens.

LOL.............obviously you do care because you responded to my post. And if you dont care, then dont respond. Honestly, I could care less. Watching you make predictions and see them blow up in your face is getting a tad old.

And no they are NOT marginally better on paper. They are MUCH diminished with injuries, suspensions, and rookies replacing some solid veterans that as you mentioned, had a good year together last year.

Love Collins and he probably will be improved. Paea? The only reason people like him now is because he has a star on his helmet. What has he shown?

And no, Lawrence does not look improved. He is the same guy that has been here for 3 years. What version will we get? Remains to be seen.

LOL.............obviously you do care because you responded to my post. And if you dont care, then dont respond...

That's just a weird thing to even try to pass off. Of course I'm likely to respond to a direct question. Don't suggest I have some obligation to let it slide because you don't like the response you got.

Your next good point about football will be your first good point about football as far as I'm concerned. And you can't suggest predictions "blow up in my face" when you can't be counted on to understand or remember the details of basic discussions to begin with.

I'll go back to explicitly not engaging with you where I can stand it. And you can go back to insisting things you can't support have to be true and just generally misunderstanding and misremembering things in threads and we'll both be happy. How's that sound?

LOL That would be much better for you I think. AT this point, you cant ever refute anything I say. You just simply throw a hissy fit and tell me Im a bad person. LOL

My God you are the guy that cliams Garret is the next great hall of fame coach in the making.

Who was dead right about Dak Prescott while you were crying your baby blues about poor Romo?

No need to go into more detail. If you cant take a difference of opinion, then you might as well just not respond.

One, I haven't said 'Jason Garrett is the next great hall of fame coach in the making.' That's something you made up because you can't win a debate on the topic on merits. I think you took it from the Staubach quote in my sig and somehow came away thinking I was Roger Staubach.

Two, the Dak v. Romo thing you bring up over and over again was entirely about my saying in a post last year that I believe Romo would have won the first Giants game. I was a fan of Dak's going back before the draft and definitely through the preseason as he kept stacking big game on top of big game, and the post history shows that.

I also do think Tony would have won both of those Giants games still.

Ok. There. Knock yourself out. I really am going back to ignoring you when you confuse issues and make things up that are untrue.

Just look at your signature. YOu are his biggest fan in the world. Its obvious you think he is the best thing since Bellicheck. And if you didnt agree that Garrett is one of the best coaches in the NFL, then why do you have it up there? Are you mocking Stauback or are you agreeing with him?

And if I was the guy touting Dak as the next great QB in Dallas in preseason then how is it that "the first right thing I say about football will be my first"? Talk about blowing up another one of your theories. Talk about proving something you said as "untrue". That was easy.

The only way we can get a fumble recovery is for one of our players becoming impaled on it. Short of that; nada
