So I'm watching the Louisville vs.Arizona Bball game and UL uses it's depth to pressure the ball full court and keep players fresh..I was just thinking that since we want to be a power running team why don't we use that same strategy? We have the 3 RB's to do it and keep those guys fresh..how about the O-line?

Maybe draft Duke Robinson and have him and Holland sub in for Kosier and BIGG to keep those big boys fresh the whole game..just curious on why teams don't do that more often..is it chemisty amongst the O-line?

Thoughts?

We used to do that with Ron Stone. It's a good idea. Kosier or Montrae Holland could do that, depending on who wins the starting job.

O-linemen need to work together and need to build trust. No surprises.

Wrecks chemistry to shuttle the O-line.

Ya..that's what I thought..I was just thinking of a way to keep the O-line fresh and dominate the worn down players at the end of the game.

If we did draft Duke, and I'd have ZERO problem with that, I would think he would occasionally fill in for Kosier and Bigg. He could also be used as a Goal Line TE or we could use that 6 Offensive Linemen line-up that Baltimore used last year.

He could get 1 year to learn before being asked to start in 2010. Holland is a free agent and Kosier is a potential Cap Casualty ($3 million saved by cutting him next off-season).

Ya..same with Big O Herm also..him sliding to the third would be unbelievable..but I doubt he gets by the Bears.

understand about the chemistry with the offensive line, we all saw how when kosier went down the cowboys suffered on the offensive line

i think you could use the big offensive guard like duke robinson or herman johnson in packages helping to block in tight end situations like ron stone, and this time if the cowboys are blown out of a game or blowoing a team out, then you put in the backup offensive to give them some extra snaps

Kosier would be well worth that 3 million even being a backup.

Why are we still talking about replacing Kosier after last year? I'm all for replacing anybody with a better player, but didn't we learn last year how underrated this guy's been the whole time? I'll be happy just to have him back healthy.

remember when Landry would shuffle QBs after every play....let's do that with our first and 2nd string OL. On first use the starters, on 2nd use the reserves, on 3rd use the starters, on 4th use the reserves......

We would definitely have to replace him with another free agent since we can't draft OLineman for crap.

Actually, at one point I thought that Landry used to have an OG alternate plays for a couple of seasons. One OL brought in a play and the next play, another OL brought in the play. I thought only 2 OL alternated plays, however.
