"BIGGEST SURPRISE OF TOP-10
I thought Tre Mason did enough as a rookie to knock running back off the Rams’ list of biggest needs. I was wrong. Not only did the Rams take a RB, but they took Todd Gurley (ACL) at No. 10 overall. It’s high for a running back, even if Jeff Fisher insists Gurley is the best prospect at that position since Adrian Peterson. The Rams have arguably the least talent in the league along their offensive line and Gurley’s durability is in doubt. He also plays in a division with two elite run defenses (SEA, ARZ). Meanwhile, fourth-stringer Zac Stacy wants out. He’d be able to run for 1,000 yards if given the chance for a team like the Cowboys."

Stacy has shown to be mediocre. He was not only phased out for rookie Tre Mason last year, he's now been buried even further down the depth chart. By the team that knows him best.

If we want a journeyman, we already have that in Ryan Williams, with possible upside to boot.

Not sure Stacy represents much of an upgrade over any of the top three who are going to make our roster, anyway.

The article is correct about the poor choice for the Rams' pick.

They should have gone OL, and maybe give their QB's and RB's a fighting chance.

No, they went best player available and they got a top 3 draft pick who happens to be the best rb to come out of the draft since ap

You can say that about any decent RB on this offense. Just draft a dude like Ajayi or Duke instead

Ajayi can't run for a 1000 behind this line.

That guy is going to make Demarco look like the best back of all time if we get him.

Stacy should be patient. I don't see Gurley getting all of the carries next year.

Yea but they also already have 4 or 5 pretty good RBs. How much better does Todd Gurley make the Rams over Mason, Stacy, Cunningham and Pead?

Worst pick of the 1st rd IMO. Love the player. Just hate the fit with the Rams. It just doesn't make any sense to me

1000 yards is only 63 yards per game. Any back that can fog a mirror can manage that here.

I think Stacy would be really good here actually. If they'd take a 5th or 6th for him, do it.

I swear, the freaking rams have been drafting every pet cat of mine for about 4 years now.

Aaron Donald and Tre Mason last year. I also liked Greg Robinson but I didn't think Dallas had a shot at him, so I really wasn't looking at him like a pet cat.

CB Janoris Jenkins was a guy I wanted Dallas to draft if he slid into the second round.

Steadman Bailey

And now Gurley.

Damn Fisher... damn him to heck!!

Just as DMcFadden would be able to run for 1,000 if given the chance, RWilliams would be able to run for 1,000 if given the chance, JRandle would be able to run for 1,000 if given the chance. Or the rookie we are gonna draft today.

They averaged 102 yds a game last year. 20th in the NFL. How much better does Gurley really make them? 110 yds a game? 120 a game? Still mediocre. There's also some pro bowl offensive linemen left available. Even though they may not be projected as 1st rd talents. Much like Travis Frederick. I guess StL didn't feel like they could identify any good linemen that anybody else hadn't already found

I don't want a back that can rush for 1000 yds...I want one that can run for 1500, minimum!
