Prescott has been, and continues to be, one of the better QBs in the league. He has faced above-average pressure (13th pr%), but handled that by getting rid of the ball very quickly (26th ttt) and avoiding sacks (30th sk%). Unlike other QBs, Dak has done that without sacrificing passing depth, averaging the 9th-longest attempted passes in the league (adot).

He has been very accurate (4th cpoe), so he converts those long attempts into long completions (5th ay/c), which aids in the 10th-longest YPA in the league. That isn’t due to big YAC either, as his receivers rank 29th in that regard, which is actually about average for such long throws (15th yacoe).
Not exactly the narrative I read in here every day.

Nice breakdown looking at the numbers. Good to see someone do their homework using a diverse set of statistics. Defenses really aren’t fleshed out here, but you play who is on the schedule, and everyone is being compared against the same algorithm, again with the caveat that defenses aren’t really accounted for. Dak is a top-10 QB. I don’t know if he will lead us to a Super Bowl, but I sure as hell like my chances with him compared to about 20 of the other QB’s in the league.

Hilarious…..the “writer” is a freelancer who has zero credibility or gravitas in the works of sports journalism.

Some of his articles are so profound that they have as little as zero or up to 8 whole comments after them. He’s a dude behind a computer that probably gets $150 bucks for every article he submits to Colts hometown website…….I’ve seen better analysis and way more comments on them from some of our resident wordsmiths.

Check references before declaring “ just some guys” article to have any weight or credibility to it.

This part of his profound insight really showed his keen acumen…..”Now, to be fair, Prescott has faced easy opponent pass defenses so far (31st opd) and, of course, his supporting rushing game has been very been strong (6th aRSR). If you want to adjust his results for that, that’s fair”

Thanks Captain Obvious……oh yeah, this month old article is up to a whopping 4 comments. Nice

Stay in line. Throw out your opinion.
Do not dissent.
Dak is Super Bowl material.

But, I have to dissent...I just got schooled!

Didn't you see all those charts and graphs? That tells me from deciphering all that gobbley gook that the team that Dak is on is the problem, not him at all.

And if you break all that irrelevant information into binary...I see many SB's in our/not near future as soon as JJ gets a brand new team for him, because the players on the team now are scrubs.

This issue is that the Dakaholics think he needs to be John Elway. He also needs to win a few playoff games. Romo usually sucked in the big spot and chose to cavort on the beach in Mexico the week before a home playoff game. Clownish behavior. Dak is a good QB. He can be inconsistent but he can also be great at times. He has a long ways to go and he is our guy so we should try to root for him. My other issue is that the Dakaholics think replacing him would be easy. Good luck with that.

This is a story from “Stampede Blue” which is the Colts version of SB nation. I thought it was an interesting breakdown of his strengths and weaknesses. It only goes through week 12 (the game before the Cowboys played the Colts. Interested in what our experts here

https://www.stampedeblue.com/2022/12/3/23491053/dak-prescott-is-the-real-deal-epa-success-rate

I get the feeling the Dak turds wont be showing up to this one. LOL

To many facts and figures showing how completely dead wrong they are.

Ergo, I won't try to get my comments published as if I have professional, experienced, enlightened information.

The 'writer" it just another dude with an opinion

Yeah, like you said in your previous post on this guy's lack of credibility. I agree with ya and will kinda stick with aligning my opinions on Dak with Warner's and Jimmy Johnson's.

They are pretty credible sources.

The vast majority of Warner's criticism was directed at Kellen Moore (i.e. The scheme).
- He thinks the scheme makes everything more difficult for Dak.
