So, he's what many here are saying.
He certainly isn't great, but he's isn't terrible either.
He's somewhere in the average to high average area.
Good news is there have been teams that have won championships with QBs like Dak on there roster...
....usually as a backup, tho.

Nice breakdown looking at the numbers. Good to see someone do their homework using a diverse set of statistics. Defenses really aren’t fleshed out here, but you play who is on the schedule, and everyone is being compared against the same algorithm, again with the caveat that defenses aren’t really accounted for. Dak is a top-10 QB. I don’t know if he will lead us to a Super Bowl, but I sure as hell like my chances with him compared to about 20 of the other QB’s in the league.

This is a story from “Stampede Blue” which is the Colts version of SB nation. I thought it was an interesting breakdown of his strengths and weaknesses. It only goes through week 12 (the game before the Cowboys played the Colts. Interested in what our experts here

https://www.stampedeblue.com/2022/12/3/23491053/dak-prescott-is-the-real-deal-epa-success-rate
you know Positive posts about or stars who have large salary's are NOT allowed in here.., they find ways to downplay all of our strs even though they claim to be fans, they will argue 24-7 trying to make their point on how bad our players are vs other teams.

This issue is that the Dakaholics think he needs to be John Elway. He also needs to win a few playoff games. Romo usually sucked in the big spot and chose to cavort on the beach in Mexico the week before a home playoff game. Clownish behavior. Dak is a good QB. He can be inconsistent but he can also be great at times. He has a long ways to go and he is our guy so we should try to root for him. My other issue is that the Dakaholics think replacing him would be easy. Good luck with that.

This is my biggest issue. The replacement factor. It’s like people don’t see QB’s get drafted high all the time and never end up better than Dak. Many franchises go literal decades trying to find a QB as good as him

It’s not as easy as “just get rid of Dak and replace him”. It could set the cowboys back years.

Hilarious…..the “writer” is a freelancer who has zero credibility or gravitas in the works of sports journalism.

Some of his articles are so profound that they have as little as zero or up to 8 whole comments after them. He’s a dude behind a computer that probably gets $150 bucks for every article he submits to Colts hometown website…….I’ve seen better analysis and way more comments on them from some of our resident wordsmiths.

Check references before declaring “ just some guys” article to have any weight or credibility to it.

This part of his profound insight really showed his keen acumen…..”Now, to be fair, Prescott has faced easy opponent pass defenses so far (31st opd) and, of course, his supporting rushing game has been very been strong (6th aRSR). If you want to adjust his results for that, that’s fair”

Thanks Captain Obvious……oh yeah, this month old article is up to a whopping 4 comments. Nice
It was on a Colts website in case you missed that Captain obvious. And it is a stats based article, not an opinion piece in case you missed that as well.

Not exactly the narrative I read in here every day.
The accuracy and the deep ball numbers are surprising to me. That's what I thought he lacked in. I guess getting a outside, unbiased opinion does help when my emotions are involved with evaluating his play. Thanks OP for posting. Good information.

Firstly, I mentioned that it was on a Colts “anybody can blog” website in my previous post. So let get that out da way.

ok…since we are just going on just stats , let’s take current QBR and draw a definite conclusion on which is the better quarterbacks in 2022

https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr

18 quarterbacks are better than Dak Prescott based on this all encompassing metric of stats. Stats show that quarterback such as Brissett, Carr, Dalton, Jones etc, are all better because the all important stats show it.

let your eyes as well as “ stats” be your guiding light as to drawing a conclusion.

My point is these bloggers are merely another dude taking one little stat and painting with a broad brush. If you want to take it as gospel instead of employing critical thinking, hype, do your thing
