Bernadeau is entering his fifth season in the league out of Bentley College

They brought him in to be a starting guard,” said his agent, Dennis Boyev. “He’s really thankful for his time in Carolina. It’s a team that took a chance on a kid who came from a Division II college, so he’s grateful for that.”

Well, I'm glad we brought Orton to be a backup. Might as well sign another solid QB to be our third stringer.

The 6-foot-4, 308-pound Bernadeau has started 20 games and played in 47 over the past four seasons for the Panthers at guard. However, after starting 12 games in 2010 he was replaced in the starting lineup at right guard and started only one game last season.
Interesting.

Thats not what i wanted to hear...smh

I don't think the Cowboys would have signed him as a backup.

They obviously view him as a legit starting candidate.

Come on. Give Bernadette a chance.

...and your avatar always creeps me out.

Nothing is set in stone........he will compete for a job

He was probably brought in to COMPETE for the starting guard spot.

Bingo!! You nailed it. I don't care what his agent says, under JG, training camp will decide if he starts or not..

That's exactly right.

This wasn't some day 34 of free agency "pick'em off the scrap heap" signing.

They (the Cowboy's brain trust) see something there.

That don't fit the agenda around here. Can't be true.

Interesting.

Maybe he didn't fit the new system, what with a new coaching staff, and a running QB.

I would like to see us give serious consideration to drafting a QB in the later rounds this year or next year. Romo definitely has some good years left. He should have more if we jump up and grab DeCastro (a man can dream cant he).

Do you think This is a Callahan pick, meaning he found him, or a scouts find?

Bernadeau should be better than Kosier, Holland, Nagy, Costa, Kowalski, and Arkin. I view him as an immediate upgrade. He looks like a decent player, especially when you see what the Cowboys have inside.

However, I don't see how this rules out David DeCastro at 14 or OL early.

According to Tony Pauline (TFY), Callahan worked out Konz and Zeitler, and Callahan was at Brandon Brooks' pro day.

I still think more help is on the way. We have to be patient. I like both of those Wisconsin guys, because they are very good run blockers.

I dont know where this guy fits but I think Holland, Dockery, Costa and Kosier are all goners.

I never had any doubt that he was being signed with the idea of him becoming the starter. I'm excited about him too. I think he is going to be an upgrade.

Interesting.

when recruiting people say all kinds of stuff. What I see from his contract is that he's going to make the team next year. But the #s don't scream "you are our starter!"
