Jaylon is overrated I fear. I hope I'm wrong though. He's a great athlete but I didn't see the play recognition/instincts of a great player. People talk like he's a god

Sit back and watch because he would have easily gone Top 5 in the draft. this kid will be a difference maker.

Watch Jaylon. I was not impressed. I hope you're right but it's not like I'm saying he won't be good. It's a difference between good and great though. I'm doubting the great at the moment. And it's not just the video that I watched.

I don't think it is fair to post a video of another guy to point out deficiencies of another. Having said that, I have see that his tackling is not great, it is more of a reach tackler. That is his only deficiency that I see.

I think his strength in the NFL will be coverage and his versatility. I think he will be an off the charts rusher. I think either from the DE position or LB all over the field, he will wreak havoc.

The Cowboys haven't been wrong much on their evaluations of players. What has done them in is off the field issues or injury. I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on this player because he has the measurables.

He's a generational player. It's simply absurd to see someone at that size be that fast.

He's not a stocky guy that will shed blockers but he's actually impossible to run away from and covers like a cornerback.

I don't need to watch Urban Meyer already has... I'm not sure if his staff had this video available though.

Why watch a video highlighting another player?

Jaylon Smith is an outstanding ball player the only question was the nerve in his knee healing. Dallas took a gamble on a kid who was a top 5 pick and that gamble is looking like it will pay off big time.

I guess any opinion could prove accurate in the end, but ALL of the people that make a living evaluating NFL talent disagree with you. If it's all the same to you, I'll value their thoughts over yours.

Tapper is going to be a player in this league. His production fell off when they started 2 gapping him in that 4 point stance, but he's a SPARQ type guy and had potential after his sophomore year, before they changed him in the scheme.

Tapper will make Demarcus expendable. You heard it here first.

Tapper is raw and needs time to develop. A good comparison is Vic Beasley of the Falcons. Beasley just came into his own in 2016 after a disappointing 2015 given his draft status.

If Tapper can get healthy, and if he learns to play with better technique, he could be a force at RDE in 2017.

I know nothing is set in stone, but is he expected to be able to go week 1?

That's cool. I hope I'm wrong too. I'm not like certain board members who need to be right all the time (shrugs)

Pretty much everyone gives these awesome superlatives to describe him: generational talent, best player in the draft, Top 5 player in the draft, best rookie from our draft, etc. I remember one guest grading film on Talkin Cowboys said they gave them the highest grade on any defensive player they'd ever graded.

Not to mention the reports about his good character and leadership.

It all has me super excited and anxious to see him on the field. :flagwave:
