Clarence Hills is a wise mans and such and his artical on free agency is interesting in that, to witt:

1. Cowboys are intentionally playing it slow in FA
2. Cowboys and the Jones want FA to shake out and somehow find gems in the rejects and too-expensive free agents.

OK, now mens and womans, i came away with two ways of looking at this strategies.
My concussions are below
1. The Cowboys will be left high and dry with FA if they wait too long
2. The cowboys are wise like Clarence by waiting and might save more money than Kim Darby half.
3. Maybe the cowboys will drag out the Murray talks until FA reaches the end and Murray will say "To heck with this, fellows, I shall find mein new horizons with other partisans of the NFL." he could say this. he half a college education and stuff.

I see good and bad in the Cowboys strategy. If you find good things, holla.
If you read his colume and like it, send him gift baskets of fruit and monies because he work in Fort worth and how much monies could he be making, huh?

again, holla

Quit being negative. We got Mincey last season, that clearly overrides any other trend.

Not to mention, Melton, while shutting down late, was like 5th in the league for DTs in sacks for much of the season. While we probably overpaid slightly for him, he was pretty good throughout much of the year... and we got him very late in free agency.

I still can't understand why zoners can't accept the fact that Jerry has agreed to have his wings clipped.
The FO is working from a different playbook now and they feel this is the most prudent way for the
team to improve. I don't think you will see the Cowboys be big players in FA during the Romo
era. Like or not, the FO is going to manage the team under budget billing.
