Chargers wouldn't do that.

They are in the Tom Brady sweep stakes.

They are also in position to move up for Tua or draft Herbert.

Their QB future is much brighter without Dak.

I think it's clear that the Jones's will not leverage other QB's, pay Dak whatever he wants, and we'll just be held hostage by that contract for awhile until a new CBA kicks in and then maybe we can piece together an ultra team so Dak can win.

I think our shortcut is to basically just steal the 49ers offense and see how far that gets us. We have better personnel to run the 49ers offense then they do.

Yeah but the Chargers won't have to give up much to leap frog Miami.

I just think giving up a 1 and paying Dak 35 million would be stupid.

I'd rather get Jameis signed long term for 25 million or less a year and try to become a run 1st team if im the Bucs.

How can Tampa be a run first team? They have no RB...but have 2 top WRs...Dak is a upgrade to Winston ...Drafting a injury prone Tua who wont even play or taking Dak w that team in LA is a no brainer

I meant they need to start building toward that.

If they get Dak they would have to build toward that any way because Dak is not some great thrower of the football.

So you keep Jameis and build the OL and focus on taking responsibilities off his plate.

Nah, Dak just passed for 4,902 yards, 1 yard short of tying Romo's franchise single season record and 98 yards short of reaching 5K passing yards in 1 season, all while not being allowed to pass the ball with the whole 4th quarter to go during the Cowboys last game of the season against the Commanders.

Whoa!!! Even with that 6th pick, one of the top QB's in the 2020 draft would be within reach. Throw in James to fix the safety spot and that is crazy!!! Wow!

I'd trade Dak for #6 alone, don't even need to throw in James. Grab a new QB prospect on a rookie deal and use the money saved for re-signing everyone else + bringing in new FAs. Dak came in as a rookie and went 13-3. You put a super team around a rookie QB and they can succeed.
