Hey guys, I found this on a posted message on gyphon. It is showing where in the first 5 games or so that the New York Giants have played, they are slow starting in their games first half. Maybe we need to jump out on them like we did in the first game against Phily last year.
Any replies welcome or to let the Cowboys-Parcells know, I am sure they have seen the stats but you never know.
They Eat Their Wheaties At the Half
Strange stat of the day: The Giants have only two touchdowns and 29 total points in the first halves of their five games, a 5.8 average. They have 13 TDs, 98 total points and a 19.6 average in the second half. Manning is a sleepy starter, with only two of his eleven TD passes coming in the opening two quarters of games. Some of those stats are garbage padding, coming against a Seattle prevent in a blowout loss. Others have been gold. The comeback versus Philadelphia showed grit and last week the Giants knocked Atlanta out by scoring 24 points on four consecutive second half drives.
Their divisional matchups have followed familiar templates. They?ve played shootouts with the Eagles and had another in September. They?ve handled the Commanders in The Meadowlands recently and did it again two weeks ago. Tom Coughlin and Bill Parcells have no secrets between them.
Something tells me this game will be tied after 59 minutes.
