Interesting Info on Holmes and Carpenter

This stuff on Carpenter is exactly the opposite of what we read yesterday in that article about his old man raising him to be a humble kid.

So which is it? Who is telling the truth?

Well consider the source. Which one is more believable or rather which one is less reliable over the years? PFW has never been beacon of truth, at least not in my opinion.

Wow. Can't believe the crap I just read. Most anything written this time of year (good or bad) is crap, but this one takes the cake.

Carpenter not a leader?

The dude suited up for a game he KNEW he couldn't and wouldn't play in. Don't know what you guys call it or what PFW calls it, but I call it LEADERSHIP.

Parcells is going to go on personal interviews with the player and of course conversations with his dad to decide about a player's character, not some weak third-hand gossip like this.

Well, I have the belief that BP will probably take a player for OLB in the first round, it is just too important of a position in the 3-4. I would rather it be a converted DE though, even in this article it projects Carpenter to be a ILB.

The report doesn't say that Holmes broke the girl's jaw does it?

Furthermore, I can see Carpenter being considered "arrogant." He's the son of a former NFL player, who was coached by his dad. He's seen a side of football and preparation for football that the others haven't.

How many players on the Ohio State roster benefited from the same background?

I doubt that becomes much of an issue because Carpenter will be joining a league with men who have more experience than he.

I chalk Carpenter's "attitude" to the fact that he was a bit more prepared for the football experience based on his father's career than any "negative personality traits."

Just my two cents.

Everything else EVERYWHERE has Carpenter as a straight shooter and emotional LEADER. This sort of looks like a dirty trick kind of plant to lower someone down the draft board.

I don't have a problem with guys who have a bit of a characther flaw (as we all do).

And Carpenters attitude is what I want on the field, as long as he can be cool with the guys on his SIDE, then I like the fire.
