thought this might put some things in perspective. Maybe give Romo a little bit of a break..I mean, the media constantly tells us Peyton is the second coming of sliced bread and from the looks of it he was mr choke in January for his first 4 years(2001 they didnt even make the playoffs). just thought a little perspective would be nice. Lets feed off of the hate, that way when we win it all next year their crying will sound so much better!!!

sorry about that..they didnt come up like they were supposed to..the point is he choked his first three outings in the playoffs..in 99. 00, and 02..since they didnt go in 01..and in 99 they had 13 wins as well...my point was Romo is only on his second season as a starter so its not time to panic(yet)

Remember who Peyton's coach was during this time period-Jim "PLAYOFFS??!! YOU TALKIN' PLAYOFFS??!" Mora(Sr)-who couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag in the playoffs.(or even Dec, for that matter)

Hey-I'm confident this team will bounce back next year. I doubt we'll win 13 games again, but nonetheless, I'm confident we'll be better next year, but frankly, I'm getting tired of witnessing this torture for 11 years and counting now. At the same time, I myself is starting to lose confidence too.

And just to address the thread starter, Peyton still struggles in the post season. Last year, he became the first QB to win a SB while throwing more INT's than TD's in the post season. Im not saying he stunk up the joint in January on route to Miami, but he had a lot of help from a good D and running game. Sunday, you saw how the Colts played when they lost both.

If John Elway didn't have Terrell Davis, he would never have won a SB.

Oh-the Denver D from the '97 and '98 Super Bowls were MILES better than those POS ones in the late 80's.

Another interesting fact about the Colts. They were the #1 seed (AFC) in 2005 and they lost their first playoff game(divisional playoffs) to Pittsburgh(#6 seed) 21-18.

Guest what happened the next year. Yep the Colts won the SB.

I'm not saying that we will win the SB next year but it's not the end of the world for the Cowboys because we wasted this year's great opportunity as the #1 seed. We just need to reload some and come back strong next year like the Colts did in 2006.

Or the Chargers this year from last-they go from being the best team making an early exit to being just a MERELY GOOD one going to the AFC Title game. Of course, they're going to be spanked by the Pats anyways, but otherwise-it's been a very good 1st season for Norval.

That '87 Cinderella Vikings team that beat the top 2 teams in the NFL(The Niners, and the Saints in the WC game)...wow-it seemed like their success ended up fooling THEM. They thought Herschel Walker would be their "final piece", but they end up giving up 1/2 of their heart and soul(their DEFENSE, that is) and a bunch of draft picks to get just a merely solid player? Un-believable.

Anyhow-just another memory that popped up.

Nope. I have the spiritual gift of interpretation and I can't read it. Must be some other religion. :D

I'd say Scientology, but they'd have to be $ signs instead of cross marks. :)

peyton was what 22 in his rookie year? Romo was 26 or 27 so he doesn't have as much time as peyton did
