Interesting Mosher stat on drafting a WR after pick 75

No, I just know there has been receivers who had surgery at the beginning of the year and played week 1.

gallup didn’t have surgery at the beginning of the year though. he got injured in the final game and then waited another month before actually having the surgery. being ready for week one is on the extremely optimistic side of things. i mean the guy missed two months with a soft tissue injury

He got surgery in February. That's beginning of the year. Gronk had all surgery in January and started game 1 next year.

Why are the wrs higher than 24? What makes this weak group of receivers so good to yall?
There is no y'all, it's their rankings and they get them from talking to GM's and scouts. All of these guys, including Kiper and McShay, get their info from the NFL people.

Rick Gossage doesn't watch college ball much. His mock is predicated on his conversations with GM's that will talk to him and he's been pretty good with his Top 100 over the years. Not the player to the team so much but he usually hits in the 80% on those top 100.

The composite has the Power 5, Williams, Wilson, London, Olave and Burks all going at 22 and above without any trades from GB or KC. There are some possible great finds in that second tier but there is considering a drop to that tier.

This all comes down to whether they are really sold Lamb is a #1WR and worth what the going rate is going to be to get his 2nd contract.

What is interesting is that the drop in OL does not seem as steep so a 2nd day pick there might be as good.

If I was picking, I would never consider a 2nd contract with a WR and would be looking to replace him whether in this draft or the next one. There are too many good WR's every year and I do not see that slowing down.

Says who?
Says the medical guests that have been on the Fan and NFL Network.

This isn’t Madden. Guys don’t just go back to 100% once they return to the field. Gallup will be without the risk of furthering injury on that ACL and he’ll be able to run and jump but won’t have the 70 play endurance for awhile.

ahh my bad, i was reading it as beginning of the season, not year.

even still, Gronk is a freak and an exception, and had a month long head start and was only playing like 50% of the snaps for like the first month.

there’s also this:

A former NFL team doctor who fixed dozens of knee injuries in more than 15 years on the sidelines said Gronkowski’s recovery is “definitely not normal”

banking on gallup to have a Gronk or AP like recovery is a bit worse than those expecting it to be somewhat longer

Some can play week 1 but that doesn’t mean you’re at your peak. There’s a lot of guys who say big injuries like Achilles and ACL take multiple years to fully come back to peak ability.

lol you act like we don’t want that and wouldn’t be happy. it’s just unlikely
