Interesting Pacman question.

Lets say Pacman is not reinstated and sits out all of 2008 as well. Will Dallas get the Titan's 4th in 2009 and still own Pacman's rights in 2010? Unless there is language that says he reverts back to the Titans, I would say yes!

Pacman will play this year - book it - as they say...

If something happens that Jones does not get re-instated it will likely mean Jones is banned for life

So does Pacman new contract not take effect until we know if he is reinstated? And if he is not, and we get a pick from the Titans next year, who would own the rights to him?

I had asked the same question and even one about his contract.

I would assume he is ours because we have signed him to a contract.

I had the same question in mind, but I don't think anyone is focusing on that even though it is a valid question.

The deal in place brings me to believe that the commish must have hinted in the direction of saying that Pacman would be re-instated this year rendering this question moot.

However, if he didn't get reinstated, I would bet that there is something in his new contract with the Cowboys that states he doesn't get paid unless he is playing.

So yeah, if you look down the road and figure that he doesn't get reinstated until next year sometime, then JJones would have basically gotten Pacman for nothing since they would have re-cooped the 4th rounder. I do wonder though if it took him that long to get reinstated, would Pacman still have the skills in being out almost 2 years.

Either way, no skin off the Boys back in renting him for the year (depending on the contract parameters and cap number) if he isn't reinstated.

Only question I have is...is he healthy. In his last interview, he mentioned a pulled hammy. So will he be able to be at the facility under the Cowboys medical staff?

He better play this year. If not, everything that went into getting him will have gone into the crapper.

I wonder how he pulled a hammy. If that's the case, how out of shape is he. He certainly isn't in football shape and if he isn't reinstated by the time mini camp rolls around he isn't gonna be worth a plug nickel to us for the first 6 games this year.

Do you think he would be worse than Reeves?

I mean, even if he takes a little bit to get back on his feet (and I've got to believe he'll see plenty of playing time come preseason too)..... he's replacing Reeves.

Here's a guy with hammy problems.

Not much you can read into that. But he will need some time to get back in game-shape. No doubt. Hopefully the reinstatement will come soon.

Better than reeves. Yeah, but my aunt louise would be better than reeves. She's about 400 lbs so I know she can cover.

Seriously, yes, he would be better. He would be a great player for us no doubt. But if he is out of shape so bad that he has pulled his hammy without any football work at all, gotta wonder how far out of shape he is.
