I wouldn't doubt if some real power players in the NFL co-opted Goodell and are targeting Jones/Cowboys to maybe put him in his place. I know if I was a billionaire used to getting my own way, I wouldn't appreciate some Slick Willy type trying to make himself the chief dog even if he had made me lots of money. My billionaire ego wouldn't allow it, especially if I wanted to be the chief dog. Power plays happen all the time in big business and the NFL is a very big business indeed.

But I seriously doubt a conspiracy could ever be proven whether it exists here or not so I'm left just hoping that at least 2/3 of the judges aren't corrupt. Sad.

I agree. Looks like a crappy blog post to me.
He doesn’t write well, but he was correct about Zeke playing last week and said his inside source told him that he would play. He was the only one right about that.

Now he’s very confident Zeke will play the rest of the season and win his case. Seems a little “unconventional” to say the least. I guess we’ll see if he’s correct again or just looking for hits.

MLB and NBA players associations find a way.
They have the leverage of playing in other leagues around the world and making good money doing it.

They only have the leverage of stopping the season. In the 80’s they lost the fight of public perception and we’re viewed as greedy and wrong.

Billionaires in this country are often idolized and given unfettered power. They’ll win the fight for public perception easily. That’s half the battle.

One of the most interesting things in that post, to me, was the bit about Schefter and Vegas.
Quite interesting...

If you want to be taken seriously, you have to write above a 5th grade level and show more polish and balance than a teenager who just got grounded.

Did that stop him from taking it to Intel and winning? The guy knows what he is doing and is very smart. Who cares how he writes.

He seems a bit out there but sounds like he was a lawyer for Irvin and Colombo so you would think he has some clue of the power the NFL holds.

I don't think there is much doubt that Roger is looking to compensate for the Ray Rice thing and that Zeke is a product of over correction like Jerry stated, not sure it runs much deeper than that.

I think Tom Brady suffered a similar fate. The public out cry about the Pats being caught cheating AGAIN was a huge factor in his punishment, as the NFL wanted to appease the public.

Now that the NFL is being challenged in the courts, they are going to do whatever it takes to keep their power otherwise every player is going to threaten to do what Zeke is doing now. If he loses it will be less likely any one challenges Roger again as both Zeke and Brady will have been defeated.

Read his first article on the Blue Knight and their phone conversation about Judge Failla and her ruling. This guys know something we don't.

So I guess his style turns some of you off. Others like it.

I just want to know if he’s credible. The fact he was the only one correct about Zeke playing last week is making me pay attention.

Exactly apparently they have some evidence on a conspiracy, and Judge Failla's ruling and why it changed.

Easy to make up something like that after the fact.

These just seem like pointless ramblings.

Well sir,it's obvious there lays a vast rift of dither betwixt ourselves concerning this "pointless" terminology, that has been so haphazardly cast ,,,the dither has been served and is now in yer courto_O

You know how touts works..... people only remember the wins...... especially when you scream about it

You tell half your customers Dallas will win.........you tell the other half KC will win

You look like a genius to half the people

This guy makes a bunch of predictions and when one comes true he acts like an insider

If you want an excellent, lawyer like review of the case and the problems within it, go read Amy Dash's blog.

She lays out all the problems without the wacky conspiracies.

I never said I didn't believe the guy.

I just said that I find it strange that a lawyer writes like a middle school girl who just got dumped by her boyfriend.

Hit pieces on the Cowboys by the media are nothing new and has nothing to do with Vegas ties or any other conspiracy theory.

The Dallas sports media has long been filled with people that have an over-inflated sense of self worth that have long mastered the art of grabbing attention with the likes of Skip Bayless, Dale Hansen, Randy Galloway, etc. being attention ho's that understood a long time ago that style will get your further than substance in the Dallas media.

A prime example of this was the SMU football scandal where it was a 'who's who' of Dallas area reporters competing to make headlines with the story breaking. Meanwhile, none of them dared to investigate the cheating going on at Texas or Texas A&M at the time because they would have been unable to find a job in the state. This sent a very clear message...hit pieces work...you just gotta make sure you're doing it on somebody that can't (or won't) fight back.

Obviously, these hacks continue today except for Galloway is thankfully retired. Hansen continues it with his ridiculous stances on the National Anthem and in particular, his anger towards the NFL with the Michael Sam issue. And Bayless continues it with Undisputed.

Essentially, all of those old generation Dallas reporters that went after SMU moved onto either ESPN or Fox Sports. And on the way, they taught a generation of younger reporters their old tricks.

It's the worst kept secret in the Dallas media...Jerry Jones always gives more time to his detractors than he does to his supporters. And when in doubt...write something negative about the Cowboys.

Ed Werder took it further with ridiculous reports that had a Mendoza-line level of accuracy to them. But, ESPN didn't care because it made for a good headline about the most controversial NFL team. In fact, despite his horrendous accuracy and highly questionable reporting, they still make sure to describe Werder as 'reputable' and 'award winning' before his name even though he was canned months ago. So kids...you too can be lousy at your job with questionable integrity and lacking professionalism and you'll win awards!

That's the thing about the Cowboys that separates them from the rest of the team...the local media has almost no interest in ever sticking up for the organization when even the silliest of reports comes out.

When Schefter first arrived to ESPN, he claimed that he had sources that stated that there was a 'schism' in the Vikings locker room over...get this...alleged Viking players wanting Tavaris Jackson to be the starting QB instead of Hall of Famer Brett Favre.

However, any controversy was immediately shot down as every local Vikings reporter bristled at the validity of Schefter's report and without saying it...intimated that Schefter made the report up.

With the Dallas writers, they would collectively allow Schefter to pull his shenanigans and let them go unchallenged. Hell, they would probably make up 'sources' that somehow agreed with whatever preposterous of a notion Schefter could come up with.

Maybe it's all baloney but it's interesting and if you look at the entire picture from day 1 there has been a conspiracy against Zeke at all levels.

Not all owners pockets are that deep.
Unless they get their TV $$$$$$$$ they could have problems.

Jerry could hold out for two years.
