Last year with the browns, on 14% percent of plays they had 1 defensive linemen on the field.

This could play a big factor into this season. As that is around 1/6 of all plays.

We only have what 7 LBs?

I don't see that happening very often.

How many had just 1 CB? Cause that's how many healthy ones we may have before long.

Interesting stat.

Most 3-4 defenses go with a 4-man line consisting of 2 OLB and 2 DL in the nickel packages. It appears that Rob Ryan likes to take out 1 of the DL and insert an OLB.

There has been talk that Ware, Spencer and Butler would all be on the field together at times.

Got to realize we have different personnel than the Browns.

We assume our personnel is better, but everything is relative. We'll get the first taste against the Jets, let's not speculate until then.

Ooohhhh I like the sound of that.

the 1-5-5. I always liked watching teams run this because it was so confusing with all the linebackers moving around before the snap.

i like that. :D

I wondered why we went with 7 d-lineman in a 3-4 defense. And now we only have 7 linebackers. Most 3-4 teams I thought would go 8-10 deep at linebacker(which is line d-lineman in a 4-3) and keep only 6 d-lineman. The extra kicker, TE/RB, and D-lineman kind of hurt our depth at linebacker. But i guess we can say we kept the more talented guys. We are razor thin at ILB.

So you are saying they played with 9 men on defense? :D :D

Usually added a DB and a LB, but could add 2 lbs or 2 dbs.

It would be good to get Butler on the field aswell, and idk why we would want an extra of our DBs on the field considering how awful they are, but it's an option lol

Thats the thought I had in mind with this.

Also to get Bruce Carter some time when hes back. Could run a few plays with, Ware, Lee, Carter, James, Spencer, Butler on the field. I don't think they will be running against us lol.
