Here's another point to consider. Why leave a flourishing college program with national recognition and contending for a championship every year to go to a pro team that is several years away from contention? I'm not saying he can't do it, but his previous NFL experience says he can't.

I'm not sure what the OP is getting at. Are you saying he's hinting that he's interested in the SF job or that you think he's interested in the Cowboys HC position?

Some how I doubt that Carroll has any interest in coaching the Cowboys.

well usc has kinda fallen last couple of years, so carroll might be showing alittle burn out in college, and the way espn was saying it, he wouldnt rule out possibilty going back to the pros,

to me, that maybe says for the right head coaching job he might come out;

i do agree that he might not be right for nfl, most college coaches arent

but he is a great judge of talent,

i really wouldnt want him either, i was just asking what everyone thought

i am still trying to see if wade phillips is going to make the changes he said he was, theres as you know a big difference saying your going to make changes, then when you hold the meetings you say, well its not as bad as we thought, and you go back to your old ways

i dont mind wade as a defensive coordinator, but he isnt strong enough to be a head coach

Okay, I may be a little biased... look to your left.... :eyepoke: but Carroll is a pretty good coach. A pretty good college coach.

He is, like Wade, a "Player's Coach". He's not the guy we would need to come in here and scare.. errrrr... motivate players into performing up to their talent level.
