Interesting stat from the Atlanta game

Carolina only threw 7 passes (completing 4 for 32 yards) the ENTIRE game!
Thats the kind of stats we used to see in the early seventies. 52 runs and 7 passes. That is just mind boggling to me!

THe whole game was horrid. I mean it was just ugly. Neither team was able to do anything except run the ball

Exactly. I didn't watch the entire game...but I did see, on several occasions, the panthers pull the QB and opt for a direct snap to a two back/extra blocker(OL/TE) formation. Quite interesting actually.

If I had to plan a defense for a Chris Wienke led team I would put 8 in the
box and force him to throw. So when I see the stats from todays game it just
blows me away.
