Greg Ellis had 9 sacks last year. 7 sacks were registered in 1st halves, 2 in second halves.

La'Roi Glover had 7 sacks last year, 4 in the first halves, 3 in the second halves.

I think this is something that Parcells wants to change. By keeping key players fresh throughout the game, they'll be far more productive when we need them most.

Another key stat that I like is this:
6.2% of Bledsoe's passes last year were dropped. Only 16.9% were poor throws, and only 3.6% were intercepted.

Only 4.6% of Vinny's passes were dropped, and quite frankly I think we have a better receiving corp this year than both Buffalo and the 2004 Dallas Cowboys...

Another note on the dropped pass percentage, is that vinny threw more, and had more reliable receiving than bledsoe. 495 attempts for Vinny compared to Drew's 450. In 2002 when Bledsoe went to the pro bowl, only 4.4% of his passes were dropped (out of 610 attempts)

Hey, it's no secret what we're going to need to get us to where we want to go- we need great O-Line play, period.

Great stuff....hopefully with the newly added depth on the D-line we can get more of that "1st half production" through out the whole game. I can't wait till sunday, I go in at 6:45 so I might miss some :(...but hopefully it won't be close. (in our favor lol)

I don't think Bledsoe will let up. He won't cost us games, and our defense and running game will keep us up there. We'll get ahead, and we won't let people come back. I think they key is being consistent on offense. Bledsoe + Price = More consistency, quicker.

could it be teams were usually ahead and simply did not attempt as many passes, thereby artificially lowering the 4th qtr sack totals...? be careful with stats...

The stat that really shows the wear factor is the years long trend where Ellis gets his sacks in the early part of the season and tails off. He has been on double digit sack pace at least 3 times yet has not made it there yet.

Glover has not racked up many sacks because he has been doubled like crazy.
