I was watching the 30 on 30 show about the " U " when I saw this part and it immidiately got my attention. Just watch the first 2 minutes or so this clip and see if this looks and sounds familiar. Pay close attention to what the headcoach and a familiar QB say:

just interesting how perceptions are actually so far from reality at times. Especially old ones.

If you watch the clips that follow that one, it will show one a huge irony:

The players' coach, for whatever reasons, was actually the only one who was able to win multiple championships at that school..

Not the hardliners ( Schellenberger or Johnson ), not the " cerebral one " ( Corker ), but the one who's been basically a joke throught his career because of his undisciplined teams and " loose " style of coaching.

I have no idea what Miami coach you are talking about. Surely not Dennis Erickson...

Joe Paterno is an oldtimer hardliner who won the national championship against the greatness of Jimmy

I'm sorry, and this is not to defend the " Jenius ", but I dont' think Joe Pa has been relevant in a football game since the Reagan administration.

Haha his system of the 24/7 schedule and decision making contribute to the overall success. That many yrs of success is because of ethics and great coaching. He is the Godfather off PSU and living legend.

I get it now...thank goodness Testaverde is no longer a Cowboys, right?
