His 1st season in Indy he took a defense ranked in the 30s up to around 11 with 2 no name DTs in the 280 and 285 range!
His defenses there were consistently good to impressive… it’s what got him the gig in Chicago!

Frankly, I'd rather have No-Schott than Zimmer. Zimmer has had his chance and couldn't get it done, although he did at least get a team to the NFC Championship Game. Schottenheimer hasn't had a shot. I mean, we have no reason to believe he would succeed if given one, but give me a coach that has never had a shot over one who has and didn't succeed. With this front office, if they couldn't do it elsewhere, they are not going to do it here.

I'd still rather have Belichick, Sanders, Carroll or even Moore than No-Schott, but I'll take No. Schott over unsuccessful retreads.
